Very nice hotel with an acceptable location, rooms are clean, its got almost everything.

The Hotel Convencion is excellent. We asked for extra pillows and they delivered them right away. Little things do matter. The hotel has a restaurant/bar/lounge that is great to relax after a long day of sightseeing. The location of the hotel is great and the neighborhood is safe. We loved it and are generally pretty picky.

Generously sized and quiet rooms, perfect equipment in rooms, excellent breakfast, fast elevators, no problems. Good area, away from tourist areas, but easy walking to centre and plenty of taxis available. Nearest Metro station quite close, once you get to grips with the Madrid Metro.

“Good value, not pristine”

This hotel was exactly what I expected because I had read the reviews. It was very reasonable (which was why I chose it) and well located. Yes, it's a little old and tired, and our room was small. However, great price, clean room, great location, efficient front desk, near a nice coffee shop.

“Would recommend but a bit out of the way of Madrid proper”

Desk staff was very accommodating and during each shift someone spoke a bit of English. Resaurants around the hotel were also quite good. I left my wallet (with lots of money but no ID) by the computer in the lobby and it was returned to desk completly intact. That really made the hotel and security guard who found it special in my book.

Hotel more than worth the money. The staff were lovely the room clean and air conditioning worked. Easy reach to the park and centre of the old town. We were impressed. Thank you to the staff

Very nice, chic with a bit of classic style! The only bummer was that wi-fi was not free. other than that great place to stay!
