“OMG - NOT Recommended at all”

Very dirty room, floors, bathtub, etc. All towels and bed sheets had human hair, yellowish. Stuff not friendly. Locations very central.

“A convenient stopover”

Rather than face a very early morning flight to catch a connecting flight to Buenos Aires, we elected to fly to Madrid a day earlier and spend the evening there. We were able to dump our luggage at the airport, so were able to travel light to the hotel on the shuttle bus for only 2 euros each. The hotel is a few yards from the first bus stop into town. Check-in was efficient, and we had time for an evening walk around Plaza del Retiro, before returning to the restaurant next door to the hotel and enjoying a dinner of Iberian specialities. Breakfast was ample. The hotel suited our needs for a stopover perfectly, but I would not hesitate to book it again for a longer stay in Madrid.

“Convenient”

The hotel is extremely convenient to public transportation (airport bus, city bus and subway). The hotel was not fancy, but amenities were decent, staff was friendly. I would recommend for people who are planning to stay there to eat outside the hotel as it is expensive. There are a few places around the area where people can frequent. Wi-Fi is available if you have your own computer. Otherwise, it is 1 Euro per minute which can add up and can be expensive. The area seems to be safe; however, people should be very careful about their belongings as tthey always should because there are individuals who target tourists to pick pocket or steal . I would choose this hotel if I were to go back.

“CHOOSE ANOTHER HOTEL”

Like a big Motel 6 but not as clean.

“Not impressed, but great location for that price.”

It is an old hotel - we requested a non-smoking room, however the room had an intense smell of cigarettes, agreed upon by other guests.

Must see
All of the city (skip a museum if you must, unless you some accross some rain that is), totally walkable, otherwise the subway or bus will get you were you need to go; sunday morning el Rastro and the adyacent Mercado de San Miguel, though pricy, totally worth it (the food is superb-a bit of every good in Spain/Madrid, and there is something for every palette)! Don´t forget to look up! to be able to enjoy the amazing architecture and an abundance of details to spot and enjoy!

“Not 4 star”

Staff very friendly. The room could do with redecoration but very clean. Hair dryer rubbish. In walking distance to Goya metro and Retao Pk some nice restaurants and cafe near by.

“Nice hotel and good location”

This is a large hotel using for conventions but it is a nice and economical hotel. You can find all kind od restaurants and stores including the Corte Ingles. Walking distance to the Retiro Park. I stayed in this hotel in May 2011 and there is a new airport municipal bus with a one stop close by and the ticket cost is only 2 euros. We were pleased with this hotel
