“Good Location”
Really nice Hotel located in a nice area. Handy for the local Metro (Serrano), but also only a 20 minute walk into the heart of a thriving & interesting City. Staff at the Hotel is extremely helpful and courteous, and English speaking - all in all, this was a good value hotel, and if I was visiting Madrid again, I would certainly make this my first choice.
“Carlos Espinosa”
Good Hotel . I was there for 4 and a half days only. Very close to Serrano Subway Station (block and a half) and very close to Paseo de la Castellana street (2 blocks). Very convenient location and very safe area. My recomendation would be to ask for a room not facing the street since we had one facing the street and sometimes you could hear noises from the street during the morning. Specially during the week days Hotel is not on a busy street but spaniards are typically noisy. If you do not bring your laptop with you do not use internet at the desktop there. Too expensive what they charge for 15 min. I read before going there that internet was free but later was explained that just the wireless internet so If you do not have your laptop you have to pay for the desktop computer/internet. Food at the cafeteria was good but was pricey but thinking that this hotel is located on one of the nicest neighborhoods in Madrid this could be expected. I would definetely consider to stay here again on my next trip to Madrid .
“Great Location, great executive service”
This hotel is basic business service. I like it a lot. Small rooms but in Europe everything is small. The location could not be better and the hotel is very modern.
“Lovely hotel - great location/neighbourhood - convenient to Metro”
We got to the hotel after midnight due to flight delays and were promptly checked in by hotel staff (spoke English, thankfully). Passed on the breakfast buffet as it was a bit pricey - there is a Cafe y Te or Starbucks very close, for your morning coffee and pastry/breakfast. Our room was on the non-smoking floor (1 of 5 floors is non-smoking) and had no odour at all. The room also had plenty of electric outlets for phone chargers, hair implements, etc., and there is a hairdryer provided in the bathroom. We overlooked the courtyard and it was relatively quiet, even with the window open. We thought the room was a bit warm, but we're from Scotland so anything over 15C is hot to us! Lovely decor - modern and crisp. Had a mini-bar in the room (refrigerator) but no coffee/tea making facilities - that is the ONE draw-back of this hotel. Mini-bar was actually not horrendously expensive, considering we spent more for the same beer in a bar the next day! The hotel is in an absolutely lovely neighbourhood with lots of shopping and a few nice restaurants/bars very close. It's very close to the Serrano Metro station and 1 block from Calle de Goya. We went to an event at the Palacio de Deportes and walked there with no problem (3 stops up the Metro line if we didn't want to walk). Overall, the Hesperia Hermosilla was a lovely hotel in a great part of the city, and I'd not hesitate recommending it to anyone (as long as you aren't a stickler for tea/coffee in the room :-).
“Pretty decent hotel to stay”
-Strategic location (close to Metro within walking distance) -Restaurants and café nearby -Located in a famous shopping street -Good breakfast -Cable TV -free in-room WLAN -minibar -Negative: air conditioner was too warm
“4 star hotel at 3 star price”
During my recent May 2009 tour of Spain, I had booked in 4 star hotels in Bacelona (Hotel Murmuri) and Seville (another Hesperia Hotel), the Hermosilla in Madrid, a 3-star hotel was my favorite. I booked the superior room and was given a top floor room. It was in the attic as evidenced by the slanted roof. But don't let the word "attic" scare you. It was modern, good size, clean and quiet. There is a good size sunroof window that you can open to get light and air. The hotel was located in an upscale shopping district about 2 blocks from the Serrano metro station. The only bad thing I can say was they charge a lot for their buffet breakfast (about 16 euros with tax included) so we skipped that. (The Hesperia Hotel in Seville charged only 8 euros for the same buffet breakfast.)
“Great location and value”
This hotel is located in a great neighborhood and represents a terrific value. Located in the Salamanca District, one block from the Serrano Metro stop, it is easy to navigate the sights of Madrid. Many good restaurarants, tapas and wine bars are within easy walking distance. Modern interior with quiet, upscale room decore. Will definitely stay again.
“Great Business Hotel”
I have been using this hotel for all my trips to Madrid for a couple of years. The location is perfect, very close to two main avenues filled with restaurants, cafes, fast food places, ATMs and metro stations.
“Hesperia Hermosilla”
Ruim voldoende. Ruime keus.

Salamanca - Serrano, Madrid, Spain: North of the Retiro, Salamanca has always been an affluent neighbourhood. Its grid-like streets and beautiful houses sprang up at the end of the 19th century, escaping from the old city walls. Today, ladies who lunch drop into its spas and designer shops, many of which line the long, sleek Calle Serrano. The National Library and the Museum of Archaeology are close to the Plaza de Colón.
