“Great stay in a perfect location”

The Best Western was perfect for our small group of student travelers. The hotel is in an excellent location and we could walk everywhere we needed to go. The staff was friendly and gave us several recommendations for restaurant and spoke perfect English. The hotel is nothing fancy (no concierge but knowledgeable staff makes up for it) but the room was in good condition, clean and gave us plenty of space for a very reasonable price. I would go back without question!

“Great Location for the Price”

This hotel is very close to the city center, metro, restaurants, shopping area, etc. Clean rooms and lounge area with a computer station. Their buffet breakfast is very good. The staff offers luggage storage in case you arrive early as well as shuttle service to the airport for 10 euros, both of which were very helpful during our trip. Good location, price, and amenities. We had a balcony view room (I think all rooms may be facing the street, which may get a bit noisy but tolerable with the door shut) Highly recommended.

“Great Experience”

I would highly recommend the Best Western Carlos V in Madrid. Ir is located in the center of the shopping district. We were surrounded by wonderful shops and restaurants and 2 short blocks from the Grand Via. The Palace and the Prada Museum were with in walking distance. The hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful and fluent in English. We were able to get one room that sleeps 3 people - not easy to find in Spaiin. Free wireless internet was great and they had an internet station so we could print our return boarding passes. Only negative was the beds were a little firm. When I return to Madrid, I will go back to this hotel.

“Clean, comfortable hotel in a great location!”

Have just returned from a 4-night mini-break in Madrid. Hotel was just great - fantastic city centre location (only used the Metro once to get to the zoo) - everywhere else was within walking distance! As we were a party of 3, we had a triple room, which was larger than the standard twin rooms and located at the rear of the hotel (so didn't have the 'noise' problem mentioned in previous reviews). However, we also didn't have a 'view' from our room window. Couldn't find anything to fault - staff were extremely helpful and friendly (we don't speak any Spanish, but that wasn't a problem at all); room was clean and comfortable, with excellent bathroom facilities; great buffet breakfast provided a good start to every day. Would return again without a doubt!

“Extremely Difficult to Find”

This is a great hotel once you find it. It took us over two hours to locate the hotel. The hotel is on a short side street that is only 1/2 block long. The steet is not marked. Good luck finiding it! Take a cab to it, maybe they will find it faster than you can. We drove and parked two blocks away but that was pure luck. Parking is not easy and they say a garage is nearby, but we did not see one. Once we found the hotel we were extremely pleased with the location and the nice conditions of the hotel. The front desk tried to speak English and tried to be as helpful as possible. We were on the 5th floor of the hotel and had a large balcany which was really nice. The bathroom was nice and clean with great shower pressure. The 1st floor had a dining area which we had breakfast one morning and thought the food was good..not great but good. The 1st floor also had a computer we could use to get on the internet. I would go back to this hotel since I thought they appreciated our business and they tried to be as accommodating as possible.

“Excellent Madrid hotel”

The hotel is an ideal, small European hotel. I will try to stay there again on my next visit to Madrid.
