The room temperature was at 18C degrees. a poster of the mandatory reduction on the temperature was posted in the elevators, we have stayed in other hotels in Madrid the last 3 months (2 other), never seen the guest have to suffer cold as in this place, is a misfortune, as the hotel was nice for our purpose we need it.

Lovely hotel and lovely staff. Rooms were basic but had what was needed for a weekend city break. The hotel was a way out. Cheaper option of €1.50 per trip was a 45 min bus trip into the city which was picked up right outside the hotel and dropped off round the corner. Uber was only 20 mins if that and was around €14. Quiet area with a few cafes and restaurants dotted around but you did need to go into the city further for more of an atmosphere. Only downfall was there wasn’t any water or tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Could have also benefited from having the mini bar fridge stocked. Ideal for us as we were first timers to Madrid and was nice to get away from the hustle and the bustle. Great value as well.

Wonderful stay for my family! The staff provided an upgrade to our original room which was very nice. The room itself was very nice, clean and cozy. Also about 10 minutes walk to the Metro so convenient as well. Would stay here again!

Nice friendly hotel with a great bar/bar food
Very nice place to stay. A bit expensive but the rates in Madrid are so high that I guess it is in line with other hotels. The evening meal was great and superb value. Wonderful service from the barman there.

Great hotel, not much around
Hotel has huge, comfy beds and well-appointed rooms. However, the A/C wouldn't go below 24 or 23 C, so the room was a bit toasty all night. Not much within easy walking distance, but plenty of places to eat and drink 20-30 min walk away. Would stay there again when heading to the airport the next day.

Really enjoyed my 2 week stay at the Occidental. The location was great in terms of proximity to public transport as well as restaurants, sporting events and shopping. the hotel is also very modern, which i appreciated.

Room was too noisy but we were easily moved to another room and our Luggage was moved for us. Both rooms were too hot for us and it appears the AC was turned off. Pillows were changed within 10 mins of request. Exceptional reception staff.

Perfect location for Business Park
Convenient location for the business park and train station nearby ~10 mins walk which goes to the airport. Restaurant and cinema complex nearby ~5 mins walk. Only problem I had this time was traffic noise from the street. Last time had no issue, so depends on which way the room is facing. Very clean, very nice friendly and professional staff. Would recommend.

Lovely place. A little in the middle of nowhere. All the best places are center of town and this is a 15 minute Cab journey from the center. No tea or coffee facilities in the room - must for a tea drinking Brit! Useless iron board too! Staff are really accommodating. Breakfast is truelyu awesome!

Tidy little gem in the business park area!
The hotel is superb. Rooms are spacious, clean and the beds are huge. I stayed in a superior room. Prices are very reasonable and it has a nice outdoor eating area too. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and polite! Thank you!

It's s very nice hotel but not a good location
We chose this hotel because it's "close" to the stadium Santiago Bernabéu, which it is but you can't walk to it... you need to take a cab. It's not even near to Madrid, it only has a bus stop outside, and it is in like an industrial zone, I think it would be a good hotel for business people but not for tourists. Overall, everything else is very good.

Dear guest, thank you for your comments regarding your stay at Occidental Castellana Norte. The hotel is near, but no close to Santiago Bernabeu Staium. I am sorry if somehow they informed you uncorrectly. You are right when writing that we are a business hotel, even if we welcome tourists that want to have a quiet rest after visiting the city centre.
