“Middle of nowhere”

Although shuttle service is offered this hotel is located in the middle of a manufacturing neighborhood. The walk to the nearest train station is at least 30 minutes. The restaurants in the hotel and neighborhood are uninspiring and close early. Stay in Madrid and take the train to and from the airport.

Area recommendations

Madrid, Center For the ambiance of being in Spain, stay in the central part (Old) of the city; otherwise, you're just in any modern city.

“Okay hotel but too far to call it Airport hotel”

This was supposed to be an airport hotel, but still 20 minutes by the free shuttle bus which runs every hour on request. The breakfast buffet is not worth taking the same as for dinner as many bus groups staying in this hotel who have this as a cheap package. Better and cheaper to order the food at the bar or to walk next door restaurant or a Chinese Buffet near to hotel. Internet connection sometimes very slow, but free. Quality of rooms good, staff was always helpful as they could, therefore could be recommended further.

“Avant Aeropuerto Sep 2011”

The hotel was very nice. Rooms were large and comfortable and I was upgraded to what seemed like a suite. No problems either with the service of the staff at the hotel. The only negative feature was the location, which while close to the airport, is a bit bleak with nothing around in the way of restaurants, shops, etc. I had called ahead to apprise them of my flight arrival details but had to wait a long time for the shuttle to arrive. If they could get this sorted out, this would be a top hotel to stay at in the Barajas area. Great value for the price. I would stay there again.

Area recommendations

Nothing around the hotel. Get dropped off at the metro station or take the bus into Madrid for only 2€.

“Good place to layover between flights.”

We were laying over between flights and found the airport shuttle very useful and convenient. Hotel is clean and the restaurant serves affordable buffet meals and also offers affordable liquor. Staff pleasant and attentive. We suspect the a/c may have had a problem as we both got congested our first night and found that when we turned it off and opened the window that we cleared up. We would stay again.

“Stopover hotel, but out of the way!”

I wouldn't recommend this hotel for travelers who are unfamiliar with the area. There was nothing wrong with the hotel, but it was located in an industrial area. This industrial area is different as it seems really set apart from what I would consider "commercial areas". It is only 10-15 minutes to Barajas airport, so it fit my criteria as I had an early flight and a rental car to return.

“not close to the airport but nice hotel”

Staff was very helpful and hotel has all of the amenities useful for a business traveler. Would definitely stay again. Regarding the airport shuttle - if you are planning to use the shuttle service from the airport to the hotel, make sure to call at least 1 day in advance to schedule for it. To say that this hotel is an 'airport' hotel is somewhat of a stretch as it is not near the airport or near the city. If you are looking for a comfortable hotel to catch a flight and not interested in sight-seeing, this is a good affordable option.
