“Great small hotel”
I was there just three days ago, it is a great hotel in great location, just amazing small hotel, close to puerta del sol. The front girl was a bit constipated looking but I did not let her bother me at all! Hotel has gym, restaurant, and small coffee shop area. Amenities are perfect, including beer, water and juices in the complimentary mini bar. I used to stay in Ritz by parque Retiro but this small hotel is even better. I will never stay anywhere else in Madrid!
“A bathroom " issue"...”
The hotel is in a great location if you wish to be near the upscale area of Salamanca and Retiro. It would be a walk or three metro stops to Sol. Everything is fine except that the bathroom is ,basically , a glass box. I was alone, so the privacy was not an issue, but I would not wish to share the room with another person.
“Great location, great staff”
This hotel is located only a block from the beautiful Parque del Buen Retiro, and only a couple of blocks from the Prado museum, one of the three top art galleries in Europe. The Parque is a wonderful place to run or walk or promenade (or roller blade or row, with an onsite lake). The hotel was very modern in appearance, although I did find a frosted glass partition was probably not sufficient to separate the bed from the bathroom. It was OK since I was travelling by myself, but with company would have proved quite embarrassing I think. The room was small but comfortable. The staff were great and during my stay (4 days) helped me with everything I needed.
“Nice hotel”
Nice hotel in a safe zone , its got all the comforts you need , close to the main attractions and the staff was very polite.
“Fine hotel, great neighbourhood”
Located on quiet street (Calle Recoletos) very close to the Plaza Cibeles which makes it walking distance to many sites. Very modern with good size rooms for Madrid. Would stay here again.
“Very nice hotel in Salamanca neighborhood”
I really enjoyed this hotel. It was in a nice, safe neighborhood and very close to Retiro Park. It was a quiet hotel, and free wifi in the lobby. The bathroom is a bit weird (not very private) but not a problem if you are staying with a spouse.
“Fantastic hotel and neighbourhood”
My wife and I spent three days in Madrid, we wanted a hotel close to the center but at the same time in a quiet area. Recoletos area is very good, close to the center, you can walk to Sol or Plaza Mayor but very quiet at night. The hotel is very good, quite new and clean. The bed was confortable and the size of the room was good, we had an armchair and space around. I found two things a little unconfortables one was that the bathroom was separated from the bedroom only with a panel of glass which means you do not have any privacy, the other things was you do not have drawers to put your thighs away. Overall we like this hotel and we would stay there again.
“Good hotel in perfect location”
Small boutique hotel in a fantastic madrid neighborhood. The rooms are not big, but very well appointed, and relatively quiet for this very loud city. The breakfast is really good, and it has a very easy going, understated vibe to it. It's not super fancy, but overall a very pleasant, boutique hotel, especially on weekends when the rates go down significantly.r.
“Smart hotel”
A very nice modern interior on an elegant neighborhood. The breakfast as in most 4 star hotels in Spain is expensive but the buffet is good, however across the street is a Cafe with wonderfull just baked bread 50' down the road.
“Great Location”
The location is the best. Its near the center but not in a busy street. Its like being in the upper east side of manhattan. Two metro stops nearby. I took the metro from the airport to my hotel for only 2 euros. Theres also a hop on hop off bus stop two blocks away. The hotel staff are also very helpful. Being my first time in madrid, they helped me a lot on how to make the most out of my stay.

Area:
Salamanca - Serrano, Madrid, Spain: North of the Retiro, Salamanca has always been an affluent neighbourhood. Its grid-like streets and beautiful houses sprang up at the end of the 19th century, escaping from the old city walls. Today, ladies who lunch drop into its spas and designer shops, many of which line the long, sleek Calle Serrano. The National Library and the Museum of Archaeology are close to the Plaza de Colón.
