“Close to main station”

The hotel was very close to the main train station. It was well appointed and the srvice was very attentive. There was no wifi in the rooms which I think is a little out of date. The room we were in looked out at a dingy central area that was very run down. With a little attention to detail they could really improve the place.

Area recommendations

The city is great. It had many wide imposing avenues. We really enjoyed the park near the railway station.

“Perfect stay”

Conveniently located near Atocha Station. We took the bus from the Airport to Atocha and walked a couple of blocks with our luggage and two year old daughter in her stroller. Museo del Prado and other museums are also within walking distance. Big bathroom, comfortable bed and free drinks in the room's fridge!! Free wifi There is a train station with elevator a couple of blocks down, this line will take you to Puerta del Sol. A big plus for us because we had a stroller.

“good hotel and location”

good hotel services, the only thing that irked me is that i was able to hear my next door neighbor flushing the toilet. but overall good location, near train, great restaurants nearby and flamenco show and dinner nearby too

“Close to the train station”

Check-in and out was excellent. Had a running toilet and the repair was completed in 15 minutes. Comfortable beds. Walkable to the train station, Prado museum, and Retiro Park. Neighbourhood is a bit rougher than some but still felt safe. Have stayed on Gran Via before and found it more convenient to most of the major sites and primary eating zone, with the exception of the above. Were able to catch the Aeroport Shuttle to the ariport at the train staion, which only costs 2 Euros instead of a 45 Euro cab ride. This is a great service.

Area recommendations

Most people might find the Gran Via area more convenient unless you love museums parks or on a one nighter to the train.

“Good hotel near the train station”

I really like the AC hotels. It is so nice to have the minibar be free. This AC hotel is very close to the Madrid Train station whichis why I booked it. It is also very close to the modern art museum andThe Prado. The surrounding area isn't the best but I always felt safe (and it's Spain so there are always people out late at night).

It is next to the main train station, museums, downtown, etc. The neighnorhood is not the best, you must be alert.

“Very good hotel”

Loved everything about it. Hasn't got wifi in room but it is very freindly going to the lounge bar just off the foyer.Staff were very freindly and helpfull. Hotel is freindly clean and all round very good.

Area recommendations

The hotel is close to atocha train station so when you come in at airport there is a airport bus takes you to atocha station for 2euro.Then you can walk to hotel.

“Very nice”

Very nice hotel. I first didn't like the fact that the hotel didn't offer internet access in the room but they had it in the lobby. That turn out to be very nice as we then came down and spent time looking at the window, having a drink and enjoying other people there.

Take a train to Toledo. That was very nice.

“Not too expensive, very nice, good location”

We really liked this hotel. The breakfast was good, the room was nice and the location (near train station) was great.

See it al. Do the Segway tour of Madrid (SegCityTours was the one we did). It wasn't cheap, but it was really fun and really interesting. You can cover a LOT of ground on a Segway.
