Pros: Good staff and comfortable. The price.
Cons: Update curtains and clean and repair windows.
Location: Easy to get to and eating places near by and gas stations.
Friendly staff, and easy check in and check out. We had a very comfortable and quiet room. Curtains were worn out.

Best place in Madison

Posted 14-May-2015
Location: Being located at the edge of town just off the highway makes it easy to get into and out of the hotel.
We stay here every year, and would not stay any place else. Mike and his wife are always pleasant and very helpful. It is clean and safe. The rooms nice size and they have both smoking and non-smoking which is great for us since we don't smoke and the other couple does. It is pet friendly and breakfast is included. Thank you so much for a great place to stay.

Good location for us, right on hwy 81

Posted 23-Jun-2014
Pros: Location, next to pizza place on hwy 81.
Cons: There was never anyone at the front desk; always had to page them on the phone.
Location: Good pizza right next door. We saw a water park/park across the street.
When we arrived, we had to page for a desk clerk. Think it was a housekeeper who came to the desk. We had booked and paid through Expedia, but she tried to charge us again. She finally got someone else to help and he agreed that we had paid. The entrance to the grounds is not particularly pleasant - broken concrete driveway. The nice thing is that it sits back from the street so is quiet. The office was hot and muggy.

OK hotel if you have to stay there.

Posted 21-Jun-2014
Pros: The staff willing to help meet our needs. New TV's and cleanliness.
Cons: More comfortable pillows and better mattresses. A little more selection at the breakfast for health conscience people.
Location: Just passing through. Did not see much of the town.
For a last minute accommodation, it was OK. The staff tried to help when my key would not work and gave me a master key for the night and then went and got me a bucket of ice. It was unusual to have the manager walking around barefoot. The bed was hard and the pillows were small and uncomfortable. The room was clean but the air unit was very nosy. The choice for the free breakfast was passable. Only one real choice if you are trying to eat healthy.

You get what you pay for

Can't complain too badly. Service was decent, although there was no front desk person...we had to call management from a portable phone at the front desk. Gentleman who did end up helping is was friendly and personable. Room was simple but comfortable. Clothes had been left by the previous guests, however, which had not been picked up by housekeeping. Room was also missing soap but was otherwise clean and tidy. Basic facilities that I felt fit the $55 rate.

Disappointed

Posted 15-Apr-2014
Location: It is located right beside a pizza ranch
Right when I walked in the front door, the entryway, lobby and hallways smelled of cigarette's. Immediately was turned off, Then Not knowing initially that the hotel was under construction, the overall look was run down with baseboards ripped off the walls & ceiling tile missing. Once we realized it was under construction, it made some of the appearance understandable. Once in our room you could hear everyone in the hallway, doors slamming and the toilet flushing in neighboring rooms. On a positive note... Our room was overall clean and cleanng smelling, had new carpet and furniture. And Once in my room I was able to get settled in. I travel with a fan, so turned it on high to drown out any noise. Not my beat hotel experience.

The staff was very nice, but unfortunately smoking rooms were located right next to non smoking rooms, so the halls were unpleasant smelling. The location was great but the hotel itself needs a major renovation. We had a hole in our ceiling right above the shower that looked like it had mold in it.

Cons: Change some of the carpets. They were starting to show some wear.
Location: Eating places were close by and in the summer, there is a water park nearby.
Very friendly staff, the breakfast was good and the room was very comfortable..
