Good location for us, right on hwy 81

Posted 23-Jun-2014
Pros: Location, next to pizza place on hwy 81.
Cons: There was never anyone at the front desk; always had to page them on the phone.
Location: Good pizza right next door. We saw a water park/park across the street.
When we arrived, we had to page for a desk clerk. Think it was a housekeeper who came to the desk. We had booked and paid through Expedia, but she tried to charge us again. She finally got someone else to help and he agreed that we had paid. The entrance to the grounds is not particularly pleasant - broken concrete driveway. The nice thing is that it sits back from the street so is quiet. The office was hot and muggy.

OK hotel if you have to stay there.

Pros: The staff willing to help meet our needs. New TV's and cleanliness.
Cons: More comfortable pillows and better mattresses. A little more selection at the breakfast for health conscience people.
Location: Just passing through. Did not see much of the town.
For a last minute accommodation, it was OK. The staff tried to help when my key would not work and gave me a master key for the night and then went and got me a bucket of ice. It was unusual to have the manager walking around barefoot. The bed was hard and the pillows were small and uncomfortable. The room was clean but the air unit was very nosy. The choice for the free breakfast was passable. Only one real choice if you are trying to eat healthy.

Location: It is located right beside a pizza ranch
Right when I walked in the front door, the entryway, lobby and hallways smelled of cigarette's. Immediately was turned off, Then Not knowing initially that the hotel was under construction, the overall look was run down with baseboards ripped off the walls & ceiling tile missing. Once we realized it was under construction, it made some of the appearance understandable. Once in our room you could hear everyone in the hallway, doors slamming and the toilet flushing in neighboring rooms. On a positive note... Our room was overall clean and cleanng smelling, had new carpet and furniture. And Once in my room I was able to get settled in. I travel with a fan, so turned it on high to drown out any noise. Not my beat hotel experience.

Cons: Change some of the carpets. They were starting to show some wear.
Location: Eating places were close by and in the summer, there is a water park nearby.

Perfect Lodging for the Hunt

Posted 04-Nov-2013 on Hotels.com
We rented two rooms for three days of hunting in the area. The rates and pet friendly policy, together with the availability of a variety of restaurants in Madison, made this motel ideal for our needs. The rooms were clean and quiet, and they had a refrigerator and microwave. The location was close to a self-service car wash, shopping and a laundromat, very nice amenities that were useful for our group. We plan to return for next year's hunt.

This was the average Super 8 hotel. It was clean and bland. It is in a nice area on the edge of town. Ok for a couple nights.

Scary initially, but clean room

Posted 23-Aug-2013
Pros: Clean room
Cons: Broken outward appearance and front desk person.
Location: At the edge of the "rough" side of town.
Super 8 Hotels have never been a problem, but I probably won't ever book another one sight unseen or without a recommendation. The outward appearance scared us because of broken screens and air conditioners that looked as though they didn't work. The woman at the front desk was unfriendly, full of tattoos, and wore a tie-dye t-shirt. But once we checked out the room, it was clean and fairly comfortable. The whole hotel, at the edge of town, didn't feel safe, and seemed to us like a place where the rooms are often rented by the hour, not the night.

Nice location but.....

Posted 21-Aug-2013 on Hotels.com
The location was good near Pioneer Village, a park, a popular restaurant, and a park with swimming. However the hotel had trouble with our reservation, was somewhat run down, and the breakfast was nothing remarkable. The most concerning aspect of our stay was that in the morning no one was at the front desk. We took some time at breakfast, we called the number listed on the desk when we were ready to leave and the phone at the desk rang, but nobody was there. When we came in for breakfast someone else did the same with the same result. As we were leaving we checked again, and still there was no one at the desk.
