This beautiful Quinta is situated in Funchal close to its principal historical area overlooking the sea and the mountains. This charming Madeiran family home was built in the 18th century in 1750. More recently it was the home of well known French and British families.

The Quinta Jardins do Lago with 31 double rooms, 4 junior suites and 5 premier suites, all facing south to the tropical gardens and the sea was designed to offer the best in modern functionality and traditional comfort and style. The interior of the old manor house was refurbished and decorated to maintain its original standard and ambience.

Surrounded by large beautiful tropical gardens and offering a variety of pleasant and relaxing areas, as an elegant dinning room a charming breakfast room with veranda a bar where you can enjoy sunset cocktails the large beautiful tropical swimming pool, library, billiard room, sauna, Jacuzzi, Turkish steam bath, offers you the most enjoyable holidays.

Quinta Jardins do Lago has a restaurant on site. An elegant evening Restaurant with al fresco seating for the perfect evening, offering Madeiran and International first class cuisine served with high profissional standards and welcoming Madeira traditions.History tells that during the occupation of Madeira, at the time of the Napoleonic wars, this Quinta served as the residence of General Beresford, commander of the British forces. His magnificent sideboard, a reminder of his stay, still adorns our dining room. br/ *Please note that children under 8 years of age are not allowed to use our “Beresford” dinning room. br/ *Room service during limited hours is available.
