“Well presented hotel and yet reasonable price”

extremely satisfied with all aspect of hotel. Just 22 rooms and incredible facility & level of service to match. Only disadvantage is location of hotel. It is located on steep hill between Funchal city & Monte.No places to go within walking distance. However, bus service & bus pass price is very good. Taxi required from airport (about 30 euros)View of city & harbour is amazing. Food is incredible. Breakfast is buffet & ala carte included in price with champagne.

Area recommendations
If you are young then go to new Funchal, since it has night life.
Getting around
definitely need car(if you want to explore island, very steep & bendy roads) or can buy bus pass to travel around Funchal. At a very reasonable price.

“Hotel pour montagnard”

Au vu de la pente raide de la rue qui va à l'hotel et à ses 300 m d'altitude pour 3,5 kms de distance avec l'océan; je conseille cet hotel aux randonneurs qui aiment le dénivelé et la randonnée en montagne !! En effet l'hotel est près de nombreux départs de rando vers les hauteurs de l'ile ! De l'hotel ,on voit passer les traineaux en osiers typiques de Funchal; c'est cette rue raide qui leur sert de piste de glisse sur 2 kms depuis MONTE jusqu'en bas de l'hotel! Découvrez les nombreux jardins de Funchal ; ils sont magnifiques !! La vue de Quinta Mirabela est fantastique sur Funchal, sur l'océan et sur une église moderne somptueuse toute proche ! Ses 5 étoiles valent un 4 étoile français !

Area recommendations
les villages de pêcheurs non loin de Funchal et la montagne au centre de l'ile ! La végétation,le climat et l'érosion contribuent à donner à l'le des reliefs escarpés et tourmentés exceptionnels ! Je conseille aussi les jardins de Funchal qui sont nombreux et magnifiques ,notament le "jardin tropical de Monte Palace " à MONTE (nord de Funchal)

Visitez le grand marché aux poissons et fruits et légimes de la place de l'Autonomie de Funchal! L'ambiance est extraordinaire !

“Hotel au calme”

Cet hôtel très bien tenu est confortable est en retrait du centre donc au calme avec une vue magnifique de la baie de Funchall.Accueil très sympathique aussi bien en réception qu'au restaurant.

Situé en hauteur, il faut soit louer une voiture soit prendre les bus qui sont fréquent
