We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the staff were excellent - friendly, great service and would do anything to help and more. The views were lovely and in a nice quiet location. Be aware you would need to use taxis, buses or hire a car to get about. We used a taxi with a great guy called Duncan recommended by the hotel, who gave us a tour of the island which was a great day out and for other little run arounds. Also took the local bus into Funchal which was convenient too. A great holiday and we hope that the people who own this hotel value the wonderful staff they have - they really were so hard working and always with a smile. Thank you to them all for making our holiday so enjoyable.
Great hotel for couples. Room was exactly what we wanted and the spa facilities were great, including free use of hot tub, sauna and indoor and outdoor pools! Hotel staff were happy to help when asked and the hotel was an easy distance from Funchal centre, either by bus for €1.90 or a pleasant 20 minute walk. Balcony view of the sea was incredible as was the view of Funchal from the rooftop. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable stay.
"Magnificent hotel, away from the bustle of Funchal"
Jardin do Largo offered excellent facilities, magnificent grounds (Better than the Botanical Gardens!). Excellent staff, could not do enough for you. Excellent food, breakfast outside on the terrace was a treat. Wonderful pool area in the grounds.
Positioned away from the 'Hotel' area of Funchal, quiet and peaceful, offering a free there and back shuttle service into central Funchal, though only a 15 min walk into town.
Would recommend to anyone!

From check in to check out the whole experience was absolutely fantastic. The staff are all so attentive, nothing was to much trouble. The hotel itself is so relaxing, so many quiet corners just to chill and take in all the beauty....
Breakfast was a pleasure from the bucks fizz to the 5 minute boiled eggs, the choice was vast...
Take my word if you want a chilled holiday with a few quirky twist this hotel is a must...
This hotel is in a great location, has good staff, very good facilities and better than expected for the money paid. We arrived before check in opened and they welcome you with a drink and tried to sort out the room, when they couldnt they offered us a larger alternative. Very friendly and close to town. Book it.
"Nice hotel (Vegetarian friendly!) & super location"
We found the hotel to be very nice with excellent facilities, the staff were friendly, welcoming, attentive, knowledgeable and professional, the food was excellent, with a good choice for all tastes and diets including Vegetarian (I'm Vegetarian and really appreciated the good choices). We originally thought that we'd eat 'A La Carte' most evenings, however, we had Buffet each evening as it was so very good. The local wines and beers were very good also! The location of the hotel is stunning, on the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic with views down to Jardim Do Mar and Paul Do Mar. Watching the sun set whilst enjoying a drink on the terrace was a real treat. The local town of Prazeres is very quiet, but still has a couple of restaurants and a few shops - The area is ideal for walking holidays. The hotel provide scheduled shuttle bus services to Funchal and a few other places, however, we would highly recommend getting a hire car if you want to explore some of the many beautiful places on Madeira (we organised our car in advance for collection at the airport, but the hotel can arrange a car at good rates). Our room was a "studio" and it had a small kitchen area including coffee machine, toaster and fridge-freezer, which we found to be useful. There is a small grocery store on site at the hotel, which sells some wines, spirits, beers, basic groceries and souvenirs. The photos don't do the place any justice - it is much better! A very good choice for relaxing holiday
Superb choice of hotel attentive staff, excellent breakfast but the most pleasing was the peace and quite. A wonderful
spot to either relax by the pool or tour the island. A car is really a necessity.
The hotel is an Apart hotel and the rooms are very spacious but the kitchen arrangement only allows you to do minimum cooking, which we found suitable there is a large fridge and a micro wave which is ideal for reheating prepared meals
