We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the staff were excellent - friendly, great service and would do anything to help and more. The views were lovely and in a nice quiet location. Be aware you would need to use taxis, buses or hire a car to get about. We used a taxi with a great guy called Duncan recommended by the hotel, who gave us a tour of the island which was a great day out and for other little run arounds. Also took the local bus into Funchal which was convenient too. A great holiday and we hope that the people who own this hotel value the wonderful staff they have - they really were so hard working and always with a smile. Thank you to them all for making our holiday so enjoyable.
Great hotel for couples. Room was exactly what we wanted and the spa facilities were great, including free use of hot tub, sauna and indoor and outdoor pools! Hotel staff were happy to help when asked and the hotel was an easy distance from Funchal centre, either by bus for €1.90 or a pleasant 20 minute walk. Balcony view of the sea was incredible as was the view of Funchal from the rooftop. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable stay.
Perfect hotel! Huge beautiful rooms with lovely views. Outstanding pool area and bistro - massive pool, great food, could sit there all day. Staff were friendly and attentive, breakfast good. Felt totally at ease and relaxed. Quiet residential neighbourhood, but taxi to town only €6. I expected lovely gardens but was blown away.

I stayed in this hotel with my husband an our 3 year old son and we all loved it as everything we needed was provided. The room was clean, beds were made and bathroom cleaned every day, the staff was friendly and very helpful, the food was fantastic and the garden was beautiful. Also we got help when organising trips of the island with bus collecting us and bringing us back to the hotel for very a reasonable price. We will definitely go back, we wish we could go now.!

We found the hotel to be very nice with excellent facilities, the staff were friendly, welcoming, attentive, knowledgeable and professional, the food was excellent, with a good choice for all tastes and diets including Vegetarian (I'm Vegetarian and really appreciated the good choices). We originally thought that we'd eat 'A La Carte' most evenings, however, we had Buffet each evening as it was so very good. The local wines and beers were very good also! The location of the hotel is stunning, on the cliffs overlooking the Atlantic with views down to Jardim Do Mar and Paul Do Mar. Watching the sun set whilst enjoying a drink on the terrace was a real treat. The local town of Prazeres is very quiet, but still has a couple of restaurants and a few shops - The area is ideal for walking holidays. The hotel provide scheduled shuttle bus services to Funchal and a few other places, however, we would highly recommend getting a hire car if you want to explore some of the many beautiful places on Madeira (we organised our car in advance for collection at the airport, but the hotel can arrange a car at good rates). Our room was a "studio" and it had a small kitchen area including coffee machine, toaster and fridge-freezer, which we found to be useful. There is a small grocery store on site at the hotel, which sells some wines, spirits, beers, basic groceries and souvenirs. The photos don't do the place any justice - it is much better!
