“Palatial Oasis at the centre of Macau's action”
Not sure why I struck such a great rate on a Deluxe room that should have commanded double what I paid. (But whose arguing?) Large, beautifully furnished room with a well appointed bathroom (a la glam Casino Hotels - wink). Great view of the awesome Lisboa Grand next door (I stayed at the original Hotel across the road - and although older in outside appearance, does not disappoint). Great array of excellent restaurants and stunning East/ West food, including the legendary Robuchon a Galera (3 star Michelin rated) french restaurant - seriously recommend this for a dining experience not to be forgotten. An excellent array of shops, and a really useful collection of money changers and banking facilities. Fantastic location in the centre of the 5 Star action. Everything's no more than a 5-10 min taxi ride away. Very helpful (mostly) english speaking staff. It holds something of legend status around Macau - now I know why. If your looking for some real 'upmarket swank' without the price tag, this is the place for you.
“Great Hotel but Little Service”
Hotel is perfectly located on Macau Island between main hotels/casinos. The rooms are nice. Spacious. Interior design is old but that didnt bother me. Service is bad, especially concierge. Unless you have the most basic question like where can i buy ferry tickets, dont expect a reasonable response or any help. For example I wanted to get a wax. I asked them where and they just looked at me blankly. When they realised what I meant they took down my name and room and said they would get back to me and never did. This happened a second time also with a different request. Also they said i could buy ferry tickets in the hotel shops for the next day but never mentioned its highly recommend. just that "its "possible, but you can also buy them at the terminal". the next day at the terminal they were all sold out! I couldnt get the 4am ferry and had to get the 6am and take a different flight from HK coz of the delay. Construction was going on outside my room. Told it would start at 9am but it always started about 8.20am. It was very loud but never a mention of any compensation or a discount for putting up with it any time you were in your room during the day Finally, there's no gym. I was told to use Grand Lisboa gym but when I got there they said you have to pay!! Also check in queue was always long. If you just want a reasonable size room for a cple of nights in a good location this hotel is for you. If you are newish to Macau or care about customer service than avoid this hotel.
“Old Fashioned Luxury”
Excellent hotel fpr the price I paid, Reception service was very slow and the reception area is hard to find (Ask for Diections, Its at the back of the hotel on the 2nd Floor)Foyer is amazing, andf the room i got was Large, clean and full of toys to keep you entertained (Free Mini Bar, Shower with 6 Shower heads and a Spa) The Mall area of the Lisboa is the meeting place of the "ladies of the night" but if you are not looking for them they will not bother you. Room service was at reasonable prices.
“Excellent choice for the money”
Nothing negative to say. Location, quality of service and hotel room were all great. For breakfast there is a great croissant and pastry shop at ground level. You are better off if you bring some instant coffee and make your own. Coffee next to the croissant shop is very expansive. This is a place we would go back to again and again. The bus station is next to the hotel and busses from there would take people all over for very inexpansive fee ($0.40) for any trip.
“As expected”
This hotel is o.k. it's in quite a good location & cheaper than a lot of hotels round there. It is clean well presented & perfectly pleasant. It didn't in any way exceed expectations though. It also seemed incredibly difficult to find anything in it's labyrinth like corridors downstairs. I know casinos often make it difficult to find the way out to keep you gambling longer but we found it difficult to find anything let alone the way out!!!
“Very small rooms”
Hotel is nice, a lot of portuguese/chiness art. Rooms are extremelly small even for 2 people in one room. Location is OK......
“It's a nice hotel”
The key thing that my wife and I like about Lisboa was its location: We were placed in the east hotel wing which was a older structure. However, our room was very clean, well equipped and drinks in the refrigerator were all free. we also had a good view of the Macau Bay, fire work shows at night and dancing water from the Wynn. During the day, my wife and I hit most key tourist spots on the island with less than one hour walking distance. There are many place to eat in the neighborhood. We ate in the hotel restaurants, and also explored local places around the hotel, in general, they were acceptable, service OK and reasonably priced. One thing that we did not enjoy at all during our stay was smoker everywhere.
“Nice Old Fashioned Hotel”
It's a nice hotel furnbished in old style. It is located at the centre of Macau Island with lots of shops and restaurants on the ground floor. However, there was no Wifi internet as mentioned in hotel facilities and the LAN Internet was sooooo slow, the speed was even worse than dial up. Other than internet every thing else was fine.
“Very nice Hotel. Good location would stay there again”
We were totally pleased with the Hotel Lisboa. It has everything we need with going out of the hotel. Rooms were great and the hotel staff was pleasent and helpful. The resturants have a great selection to choose from. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I will certainly stay there again when in Macau.
“Good hotel but..”
The hotel was very near the heritage sights, within 15 - 20 minutes walking distance to most of them. The jacuzzi was a good value to our tired feet at the end of the day. What I didnt expect was to see "pretty & sexy girls" and "all sorts of men" along the hallway enroute to the free hotel shuttle to the pier. In fairness, they were not within the hotel lobby and it seemed to me that the security guards made sure they were within a certain restricted area only.
