“Great value, friendly smiling staff and handy for the Macau ferry terminal”
Very happy with this hotel, had four nights here in early November 2011, and used it as a base to tour Macau. It is mostly a casino hotel, we don't gamble, but the gaming floors can easily be avoided if it is not your thing. Our room was on the small side but was OK. It was comfortable and clean, everything worked. The lobby staff are friendly, remember Mark and Reggie, but they were all helpful. The breakfast buffet was reasonably priced when booked in advance at the reception, the choice was fine and the chef was on hand to prepare an omelet and the staff were chatty and helpful. We used the health club and pool regularly, they appeared to be under-used but were well maintained and excellent. There is a walkway entrance round the block which takes you to the Macau ferry terminal where you can get courtesy buses to other major hotels.
“Nice hotel”
It is convenient to access to Golden dragon hotel.
“Good hotel for the price”
Would recommend this hotel
“Great location. Wlaking distance to Hong kong ferry terminal.”
This hotel was undergoing renovations at the time so was unable to use the pool which was disappointing. The room was very clean and comfortable. Nice white sheets and a very comfy bed! The staff were friendly and very helpful. The tourist maps they provided were difficult to understand and it took me a while to work out how to get places. It was easy to get a taxi and also easy to walk to the centre of Macau. The ferry terminal was very close by and easy to get to from the hotel. I went to Hong Kong two days. It was a short taxi ride or walk to the city centre. There was only one non-smoking floor in the hotel and lots of people smoked in the hotel and even in the lifts which was a big drawback. Otherwise I would recommend this hotel as clean and comfortable and in a good area.
“Good place to stay to count your winnings”
This hotel is walking distant to the Macua ferry terminal. At this terminal you could catch free shuttle buses to casinos. We had a newly renovated room which is big , quiet and very clean. Not too many places to eat around the hotel. Dimsum at the hotel's 3rd floor was good and price was reasonable. We were able to walk to the Grand Lisbao and the ruin of St. Paul Church.
“Excellent choice in Macau”
At our arrival in the shuttle bus terminal, it was hard to find the small red bus leading to Casa Real, but afterwards, everything was great. The purpose of our stay was not to gamble in the hotel's casino, so we did not visit it. We can easily travel between hotels and attractions by returning to the terminal with the shuttle and then taking other hotels free shuttles, so no need for a car in Macau. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and relatively modern and everything met our expectations for the price. Unfortunately one of the hardest bed we've slept on, but the rest was all positive. Definitely the best choice in Macau for people who don't want to spend too much on lodging. If you're a gambler, just go waste what you saved in the casinos!
“Excellent from arrival to departure!!!”
Everything was excellent except the location...too far from the city center...otherwise, I would highly recommend Casa Real!
“Abslolutely fabulous”
This hotel was absolutely fabulous, especially at that price. Not sure if we got an upgrade but we had a suite with a view of the lighthouse on Goia Hill.
“If you want a 4 star hotel for less, get this one.”
Even though my experience wasn't perfect, I would still recommend this hotel for the location, price, and feel of a 4-star hotel. The buildings behind can be a little scary since they look abandoned. I hope they are demolished in the next few years. The concierge was helpful. The food stand by the lobby was handy when I needed a quick warm snack for a reasonable price. If you're not looking to pay the rates of big western hotels, this may be a great option for you.
“great hotel if you just need a place to stay”
The surrounding area of this hotel is very ghetto especially at night time. However, I was extremely surprised how great their room is! The staff was very polite and helpful. If you just need a place to stay, this is a great choice!
