The title says it all. The hotel staff, as well as the people of Lyon, couldn't have been better. We wished we could have stayed longer in this beautiful city as there are wonderfully different things to do and with the great location of the hotel, everything was within walking distance.
I booked this hotel having read the other reviews on TripAdvisor and wasn't disappointed. The location provided a perfect base, right in the middle of the city and the rooms were large, well appointed and exceptionally clean. Everything was thought of; from great toiletries (and plenty of them!) to a Nespresso machine, nightly updates on the following day's weather and a turn back service. The on-site spa was lovely too with treatments and a hamman.The staff were fantastic; really helpful and friendly and went out of their way to assist in any way they could.
I'd definitely come here again - the hotel was beautifully chic with a gorgeous Victorian lift and a very special feel.

The restaurant, Terraces of Lyon, is a 1 star Michelin with chef Davy Tissot. We enjoyed a sumptuous degustation dinner that was again well serviced.

"EXPERIENCING HISTORICAL ARCHITECTURE AT IT'S BEST"
Only 20 hours in Lyon: we wanted a "no hassle" location where we could put heels to the pavement immediately and enjoy all that Lyon has to offer on foot. This was the perfect hotel. Wonderful staff and very professional. We were very impressed with the ease of the check in experience and were fully oriented to our rooms which were large and gorgeous Junior Suites. We set off exploring the city and found that some of the best representations of renaissance architecture are within the hotel itself. We wish we could have stayed more than one night. Breakfast in the morning is sensational and delicious!

We stayed at this hotel on a very warm weekend with our two children (8 and 5). Our room had two double beds that were very comfortable! One of the most comfortable beds I've had in Europe. The room was spacious and clean and bright and cool. It had a very good feeling and we didn't mind spending some time in it. The location of the hotel is good. It is near the Gare Lyon Part Deux, but not very walkable (doable, but not pleasant). There is, however, a tram stop on the block that will take you right there. It is a full 15 minute walk to the heart of the culinary scene, but after a full menu we were happy to walk back. We purchased this room with the breakfast buffet and I'm so glad we did. The buffet is in the Garage, the hotel restaurant, and is worth every penny. It opens early and runs late and is delicious. Anyone traveling with kids knows how hard getting going can be if the kids haven't eaten. The breakfast was convenient, pleased all of us, and started our days right.
