Great location, close to everywhere even though it is outside the old city area. Good-sized double rooms with quiet AC. Front desk open 7am-12am, you'll need to make arrangements to access during the night.

Great little hotel at end of quiet street
On arrival we were greeted with smiling helpful people. Room was clean and comfy. Large breakfast with meat, cheese, bread, fruits, yogurt, coffee and tea. Nice clean pool. i will return

The staff was great on helping with a couple of local issues...room was small, but very clean....no a/c, but the window and ceiling fan worked well....a good stop

The wifi was not good at all. The room did not have kettle. The shower was small and not comfortable at all. Maybe my expectation was too much because of the number of stars and the high price

Acceptable not spectacular
Location is a couple of minutes from Foch metro, 10 minutes walk from Place des Terraux. This is a small hotel in a residential block (controller entry to the shared front door and to the hotel door). Staff friendly, room small but comfortable, if a little shabby around the edges. Hairdryer useless. Old-fashioned big keys to be left at reception. One night we came back late, and our key was one of three sitting out on the unattended reception desk - now it was controlled entry (fingerprint!) but not keen on that. Didn’t have breakfast here, but there’s a little bakery about 20 metres left as you come of the hotel where you can get a coffee, orange juice and pastry for about €6. Overall, solid but not spectacular- wouldn’t be my first choice, but it did the job.

Pleasant hotel
We stayed at Hotel Loch when visiting Lyon for the European football final. The hotel was pleasant. It could benefit from tea and coffee in the room and could also offer a better breakfast (such as the option to order eggs etc). Generally good however.

Highly recommended
We had the time of our lives in Lyon largely due to the experience at our hotel. The reception staff were kind, welcoming, able to tell us a bit of the city's history along with some gastronomy recommendations. The hotel itself was quintessential French which we loved. Their customer service was what made the stay. Highly recommended.

A gem next to the Metro and bus stops!
I stayed at the Hotel Foch to experience a small local French hotel. It's was perfect for my needs, being a solo traveler in Lyon for the first time. I was welcomed immediately once I stepped off the elevator. I was given instructions in my native language, English. Emilee offered to make dinner reservations, and gave helpful directions, including a printed map of the area. My room was quaint. My twin bed very comfortable. Shower was warm. The optional breakfast offered, juice, coffee, pastries, cereals, eggs, yogurt, sliced delicatessens, cheeses, etc. The overall essence of the hotel was that of a Bed & Breakfast. If you're wanting commercial hotel, I would seek your hotel chain. If ever in Lyon again I would be staying here at the Hotel Foch.

It was a short business stay. The hotel was not bad for my business trip. If it was my vacation, then the hotel room is very small. Not very many choices for breakfast for the price that was charged (12euros!)

Short trip to Lisboa
Newly renovated hotel, very clean room with balcony and good, comfortable bed(I booked double room for 1 person for only small premium),in the nice neighborough. It might be a little noisy when a whole floor is occupied, for the building is relatively old (obvious, Lisboa is a historical city). Good location, max. 10 minutes walking distance from one of the two closest metro stations - Saldanha and St. Sebastian).10 minutes by metro to the historical city centre. Very friendly personnel. A lot of good and inexpensive restaurants in the radius of 200 m,("I love Kebab" - Euro 4.75 for Kebab),so don't spend money eating in historical downtown. For breakfast I would recommend one of the local cafeterias (inexpensive - excellent café +pie = Euro 3.50). Across the street - Lidl store with very fresh food, bier, wine, etc. However, for such a lower class hotel no typical North American appliances in the room (cafe machine, fridge, etc.) Recommended for a short stay.

It is a good place, well located, a little bit old fashioned. The staff is extremely gentle, worried and kind. The food is awful, I asked for the dinner and it was of very bad quality. The towels are old. They need to take care of this details.

Quirky hotel with excellent customer service.
The hotel amenities was good and the staff was extremely attentive and responsive to your needs to ensure that you are comfortable and feel welcomed. For example, we asked for various items to prepare for a happy hour in our room. Instead, we we offered to have the happy hour at the dinning area.

Well located for combined pleasure and business
Vey pleasant. Well located to bus line for easy access to convention center (centre d congres) or 25 minute walk there. At the same time allowed good walking access to the rest of Lyon for dining shopping and sight seeing. Amenities good , staff very helpful and friendly, and comfortable. Would stay there again and look forward to the next trip to Lyon.

very clean and welcoming. good value for money and a very helpful and friendy receptionist.who spared no effort on our behalf. we hope to stay again there as it is also convient for places we wish to revisit the only snag for us was that the reception was on the second floor so dragging up our bags was a bit of a chore as we were not sure where to go--a small point!.

Great location, superb staff!
This little hotel is a little hidden gem. I stayed for a week whilst attending a work conference at the Cite Internationale (just the other side of the park tet dor). It's a great location for being a short walk to the conference centre and an even shorter walk into the heart of Lyon. The breakfast is typically French but great quality and always served with a smile. The rooms are cleaned daily and are cosy (not small!) with all the amenities you could need. The real selling point of this hotel are the staff - they are amazing. So helpful, knowledgable and really patient with letting me practise my terrible french which wasn't really needed as their English is fantastic. I wholeheartedly recommend hotel Foch.

A lovely hotel in an excellent location. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful! The room itself was a good size with a lovely bathroom and both were very clean. The location was a short walk to the town centre, with lots of restaurants and bars near by. We didn't try the breakfast buffet as there were lots of places close by that we found cheaper. If you want parking you need to ring up and reserve a place, we didn't but there was a very secure public car park near by which cost 20 euros for 24 hours. I'd happily stay here again!

not bad, if your expectations are right.
The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the room was for the most part fine. The issue really comes down to expectations. I would consider this a 2 or 2.5 star hotel. The rooms are small, the shower was less than a trickle, basically unusable. The wi-fi was very spotty. The decor was shabby. For what it was, the place was fine, but don't go in expecting a 3-4 star facility. My friends live in this part of the city (6th district) so it was close for that, however you are really on the wrong side of the river for all the action. The "sights" are a good 20-30 min walk away. The main shops are at least 15min walk away. But you are non the less in a nice part of town. I'd possibly go back, although it was perhaps a little pricy for what you got.

1. With exception of my TV problem, the remote control was not working and I had to change channel manually, I reported the issue from day one and they promised to send an engineer to fix the issue but nothing happen until my departure, very bad.

Excellent location, quiet and clean.
It was extremely well situated, a quiet side road to one of the major shopping streets, near the bridge and the Old Valence. The room was spacious and well equipped with TV, free WiFi (ask at desk), a safe, A/C, etc etc We had a wonderful time, the staff were helpful and kept our luggage after we checked out so that we were free to roam the city. In fact, we picked up a couple of bottles of wine at the shop next door, very knowledgeable and friendly! We'd be happy to stay again.

I found my room comfortable, and I slept well. The bathroom and shower were very good. The staff was friendly and helpful. By way of full disclosure, this is an old-style French hotel, complete with creaky elevator, on the deuxième et troisième étages (American: third and fourth floors) of an older building. On the whole, however, the hotel offers a reasonable value.

Personnel attentionné mais hôtel vieillissant.
Accueil professionnel et sympathique. Petit déjeuner standard directement à côté de l'accueil. Chambre et literie vieillissantes. Beaucoup de bruit (bruits des chambres voisines - ma clef bloquait, je devais "forcer" pour fermer ma chambre, peut-être était-ce le cas pour les autres aussi ? Bruits de pas appuyés et récurrents au-dessus durant les deux soirées, heureusement que cela n'était pas toute la nuit !), matelas et oreiller à changer. Vieille moquette foncée qui ne donne pas confiance sur la propreté. Salle de bain à refaire (joints au sol sales ou vieux ?), douchette de la baignoire inefficace si vous avez les cheveux longs. A savoir : Impossible de trouver un restaurant non bondé et à prix abordable à proximité dans ce quartier plutôt bourgeois.
