Dnister Premier Hotel is a Soviet era modernist hotel that recently has been renovated and refurbished. The room that I got was comfortable and tastefully decorated. The rooms hallway matched the decore of the room. The main lobby however could be made better attractive.
The hotel is located by a nice park which separates it from the old city. The hotel has a good restaurant on the second floor with a terrace facing the park. On the nineth floor of the hotel there is a Panorama bar which overlooks the park and the city. The view of the city is splendid.
The restaurant food (breakfast is included) is very good. Prices are reasonable. Service is good. Staff are pleasant.
Friendly staff, comfortable room. Restaurant is convenient, especially for breakfast. Closer to western standards that most. Location is within short walk of city center and yet far enough away to give some privacy and quiet. Secure parking available for a fee. Pool area small but very nice. No elevator to second floor!
Stayed here on 6th floor (hotel rooms are on 6th and 7th floor) for a weekend in November. Was cold outside but brilliantly warm inside. Plenty of space in the room and nice balcony overlooking rooftops of central Lviv.
Loved, loved, loved this hotel (of course, one of those "loves" is because they gave me the only room in the Hotel with a balcony overlooking the Old Town--Room 203). But this Hotel was really sweet: it is 1 and 1/2 short blocks from the main city square, the street with some of the best city restaurants is right around the corner (the Armenian Church street), the breakfast is abundant, with lots of hot and cold dishes, the staff goes out of its way to help you accommodate your needs, and - like Lviv in general - the price is very affordable. The building was only recently converted to a Hotel, so it does not have that "used and battered" feel. And while the Hotel offers many services -- free WiFi, minibar, elevator, complimentary newspaper and bottled water, airport shuttle, etc -- about the only negative for me was that there was no coffee/teapot in the room (but the minibar and lounge coffee prices are so inexpensive, this isn't really a huge problem).
