“Excellent hotel - most relaxing holiday that I have had for years”

We chose the Sinesta over the internet based upon its 5 star rating and other guest reviews. The hotel has character, is clean and has all the servies and facilities that you would expect. Staff attention was good and very friendly but not intrusive. Many restuarants of good quaity and price within walking distance. Access to Luxor temple and centre was walking distance but also many taxis and carriages also available 24x7. Pool side space was superb so that it never seemed overly busy and never noisy. Breakfast was excellent with wide choice of food. The only negative / picky thing we could state was the state of the surface covering around the pool area - synthetic grass over wooden boards that had seen better days and could have done with some maintenance - but not anything to distract from the overall pleasure of a weeks break. Many people we sopke to had been going back to the hotel for years - the best recommendation you can have. Great views over the nile and excellent sun set!

“Sonesta Luxor sept 2008”

We found the staff at the sonesta very friendly and helpfull, room and pool service very good, the only problem at the moment is the ongoing building work which nobody informed us of (adding 2 new floors) which has been going on for the last 12 months (due to finish november 2008, being woken up around 7am with drilling and hammering is not ideal and balcony not usable due to falling debris etc

“Sonesta St. George Hotel Luxor Egypt”

The hotel is in a perfect position with a very nice pool and sun lounge area overlooking the River Nile. The staff were all extremely friendly, but although listed as 5 star, at best it is 3 star. The bedrooms are very tired and desperately in need of upgrading. One of my pillows looked dirty.
