“I was very impressed about the Hotel. I would return anytime.”
The Pavillion is an Annex of the Winter Palace Hotel. It shares all the conveniences, the Pool, the outside Restaurant, the beautiful Garden and the Guests can use the Main Restaurant for Dinner in the Winter. There is an exterior Restaurant close to the pool for Suimmer use. The Service is very defined and you live very comfortable there. I have stayed several times in the past.
“Winter palace”
Amazing facilities thanks to he Sofitel
“garden oasis in luxor”
great place to stay to begin or end a nile cruise convenient location in town near luxor temple beautiful garden oasis and very nice comfortable hotel
“Good value”
We had no problems during all aour stay. Very nice place. Perhaps could be permit swim at night because during the day, people are in the tours and the nights are hot enough to relax end rest.
“Very Nice Hotel”
The hotel is really nice and the included breakfast was really good. It sits behind the Winter Place and shares its garden and pool, which is like an Oasis. The hotel is walking distance to the ferry that crosses the Nile and the Temple of Luxor. Be fore warned if you go in summer (I was there the first week of September) it is extremely hot. It was 107 F when I was there.
“If you want cheaper Winter Palace Expereince Stay Here.”
The Pavilion it self is nice, but the rooms are in need of renovation. The pools, restaurants and services are excellent. Not to mention the grounds on the hotel are well maintained and beautiful. The location of the winter palace is fantastic. Located literally right next to the Luxor Temple and a short taxi trip to Karnak. If you want to go to the Valley of the King and Queens the public boat that takes you across the river is close by as well as many private boats (as long as you are willing to haggle). All in all if you are looking for a pretty nice place to stay, without the real Winter Palace prices the Pavilion is a good choice in my opinion.
“Great Place to Stay in Luxor”
Great location and a wonderful hotel. Garden is fantastic and the pool is great. The breakfast could be better, but the international hotel was excellent, although the service was slow. Great place to unwind after a tiring day at the ancient sites....
“The best place to stay in Luxor”
Although there are more glitzy hotels in Luxor, you can't beat the environment - a quiet, modestly sized residence in a lush garden that has been managed for over a hundred years (the trees have plaques saying when they were planted!). It shares this, its pool and its eating places with the grande dame of Luxor hotels, the Winter Palace - including the Winter Palace's 1886 restaurant, where you get gourmet food in candle-lit surroundings for little more than the price of a curry night back in UK!
“Piggy Backing on the Winter Palace Hotel”
This is actually an annex of the Winter Palace Hotel so many of the photos are of its much grander big sister. The staff are extremely welcoming, and usually apologetic as most guests are understandably disaapointed when they see their rooms. The rooms are tired, carpets stained, paintwork patchy, but as can use the rest of the facilities I assume most people, like me, just suck it up and put it down to experience.
“slightly disappointed”
This hotel was clean, but dated & showing it's age. Not as new as expected but still very nice. Went to go for a swim at the outdoor pool around 4pm and it was closed for the day! Was 40 degrees Celsius and the pool was closed? I would stay there again though.
