“Faultless”

Incredibly impressed. Had my room upgraded without prompting, which gave me a fantastic view of the valley. Room itself was very nicely done, with an unbelievably good shower which actually juts into the main bedroom itself. Very friendly and helpful staff as well.

Perfect Hotel in Luxembourg! Really beautiful and exclusive rooms! The breakfast is great, but you have better service in the early hours!

“Outstanding Hotel in Luxembourg”

Hotel was certainly a 5 star standard. Great location to the old town and other attractions. Very cool top floor bar and restaurant, check out DJ Mister D. All the staff very friendly and helpfull.

“We will be back”

Top notch service and great atmosphere made ths hotel a welcoming experience for 2 Americans. The price was very reasonable as well. Good location - no negatives to mention. Love this hotel.

Old town and new town are both amazing. Dining was incredible and not too expensive. I would love to return and explore further.

“Our evening of luxury”

The Sofitel was our big splurge on an otherwise budget trip. Comfortable, glamorous (for us at least) and a good distance between the station and the city. Rooftop bar smokey and to expensive, but maybe not for those who generally stay in a sofitel.

Area recommendations

You can see the whole city in a day. Walk around the walls near the river.

“Really nice hotel.”

This luxury hotel certainly lives up to its description. My wife and I spent a lovely weekend in Luxembourg and were pleased to have such a nice place as our base. Pretty convenient location for the city centre - about 10 minutes walk away. Staff were all helpful and polite. Room was fantastic. No mini-bar but there were free soft drinks in a fridge so certainly no grumbles on that score. If I was being picky, we didn't like the fact that the bar wasn't smoke free but nowhere in Luxembourg is to be fair. Would definitely stay again.

The old city - beautiful. Sit down and have a coffee in the Place Guillaume and you'll see what I mean.

“Nice Hotel - improvable security”

All in all, we liked the hotel. The service was good and the room was clean and comfortable. The location is also very convenient since it is within walking distance of the downtown. Nevertheless, there was one issue during our visit: The restaurant and bar located in the top floor of the hotel are not access restricted, more importantly, anyone (non guest) can access the rooms through the same elevator that takes you to the top floor bar. There should be a separate access because we were bothered while taking the lift to our room ,by drunk or intoxicated people making stupid comments, who by the way were not guests of the hotel.
