“Great Luxembourg Hotel Experience”

Great food, fabulous bars, lots of choices of where to spend your free time all in a great ambience in rooms which meet expectations.

“good weekend rates”

reasonably priced weekend hotel, . in a business section of the city. Couldnt find weekend public transportation. There is a bike rental stand close by. The rooms were clean and well maintained.

Area recommendations

If you want to get a reasonable hotel rate on a weekend this is a good place. No convenient public transportation available here on the weekends that we could find. There are bike stands close by for those who want to rent one.

“Nice but Beware of construction”

Hotel is nice not sure it should be a rated 5 star. Hotel staff very helpful and efficient. However beware lots of construction surrounding the hotel which is inconventient when in a hurry.

“Impressive but far from the city, if that is your target”

The hotel is very good, but the location is for business travellers. I stayed there during the weekend and there is nothing around.

“definitely would go back”

One of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. This hotel far exceeded our expectations and was clearly a five star. Front desk was very helpful and room service was excellent. I can't think of any way they could improve. Whether on business or with family, I would strongly recommend this hotel.

Short drive to Belgium for sights related to the Battle of the Bulge.

Easy to get here by train from Paris.

Getting around

Probably need a car. Taxis are some of the most expensive in Europe.

Must see

War memorial and museum dedicated to U.S. troops who fought in the Battle of the Bulge in WW II. Just a 30 minute drive to nearby Bastogne, Belgium for memorial and museum.

“Great hotel in Luxembourg”

Great hotel in a brand new location in town. There was a lot of construction going on so it shoudl be really good by summer 2010. Only a short drive to the city center, well worth it.

“Gorgeous hotel - can't wait to go back!”

This gorgeous hotel facing the European Parliament is a bit out of the way, but is a short bus ride (1.50 Euros)to town. We were upgraded to a suite which was sumptuous, clean and very quiet. Hotel staff were extremely helpful with information. Breakfast was pricey at 25E and as we did not find an alternative nearby, we ate in town.

Traveller's tip

Luxembourg is an elegant very old two level city. Be sure to visit the Grund and the casement walls and take the elevator back up. It is a beautiful city that can be easily toured in one day. Well worth the visit.
