Good Hotel, good staff, Great location. most cumfortable bed in a hotel I have slept in.

“Good refuge for the business traveller”

Good place for the business traveller to stay although that's not to say that it is not good for tourists too. Well taken care of by reception with a friendly helpful approach. The concierge proved a gem with a rapid (and I mean rapid) drive to the airport - the airport shuttle is a good facility for businessmen. Relaxing place for the evening with a fun bar and good choice of restaurant food or bar snacks - unlike many Lux hotels it had lots of English speaking TV channels too. Well located opposite the central station but my room was quiet & I had a good night's sleep.

“Mercure Grand Alfa”

Positives: Checkin and out was efficient. Room was clean and spacious. Opposite the station so easy to get to. Negatives: Breakfast was a bit expensive for what it was. Aircraft noise was quite loud early in the morning.

“Convenient to station”

Nice hotel, good breakfasts and posh restaurant for an evening meal (although it's not cheap). Reception staff are helpful. Very little UK tv on offer, no BBC 1 or 2 only BBC World and Channel 5. Of all UK tv stations to select, Channel 5 is a strange choice! Rooms at front of hotel are noisy, overlooking the main street in front of station, which is opposite. Earplugs are necessary or ask for a room at the back where you won't hear anything at all. All in all, it's absolutely fine for a few nights stay.

“Very central”

Good comfortable hotel right opposite station. Buses to many destinations stop right outside front door. Breakfast fine, not tried an evening meal so can't comment on that.

“Good location hotel”

Staff not so friendly, when ask about some tourist spot location. It seems to me that we were disturbing their own chats! I cannot feel that they are welcoming guests with a proper service attitude. Location is good, shuttle to airport is good.

“Excellent location for transport around Luxembourg.”

The Hotel is fine in itself. the area however seems a bit dodgy lots of sex clubs and a couple of sex shops, this said there are some great cheap bars just around the corner. 5€ for a beer in hotel bar, 1.60€ around the corner! The hotel is directly opposite the Central Train Station which also serves as a bus station, so travelling out is not a problem. 1.50€ on the number 9 will take you straight back to airport. The rooms were fine apart from the beds were very soft, which may or not be a problem for others. The Breakfast was satisfactory but at 18€ a day I questioned it's value.

“It was ok.”

The hotel staff had strange schedule. For example, we had someone knock the door at 9.30am to change mini bar food. It's too early to do so especially when you are on holiday. The hotel is opposite the railway station. On our last day, workers started digging the road at 7.30am. Then at 8am, cleaners started to hoover the hall way......We were forced to get up early.
