Lutry is a beautiful and quaint little village on Lake Geneva, at the bottom of one of the oldest wine regions in Switzerland, and the Le Bourg 7 is right in the heart of the town, only a stone's throw from the lakefront and a number of fantastic restaurants. The hotel is stylish and comfortable and the service is outstanding. Breakfast is also delicious. Fantastic experience.
We spent a truly relaxing weekend based at l'Auberge de la Gare, having travelled by rail from Geneva via Lausanne; the Auberge is a stone's throw from the station yet not disturbed by passing trains at all. The views are mesmerising, the auberge charming and homely yet with all modern comforts; it's popular with locals, who call in for a drink or a snack, and I imagine that a meal or drink in the sun on the terrace would be sheer heaven after a busy day.
Paid extra for a room overlooking Lake Geneva and the Alps. Even though the road outside the hotel was noisy at times sitting on the balcony and admiring the view was well worth paying the extra for. Room was spacious with a fridge and a nice bathroom.

Great location: right on the lake with great views of the pre-Alps; one minute from tube station; one minute from pharmacy, supermarket. You get a free metro/bus card when staying in Lausanne (which the hotel will hand you when you show up) so it makes it really easy to jump on the metro for four stops to get to the main train station. (Alternatively it's a 15min walk.)
Great hotel, I would recommend to everyone and I had a great many evenings watching the sunset over the mountains and the lake in the window of my room. Many rooms have patios too and if you book ahead (I was very last minute) you should be able to get one.

Situated in a quiet street, Hotel Elite is a very comfortable small hotel. Furnishings are dated but the place is spotlessly clean. The breakfast buffet is very good.
The location makes it very easy to walk about the old town. It's proximity to the station and the metro make it easy to get to the lake and the airport. I do hope we'll get the opportunity to go back.
