Couldn't of asked for a better hotel experience in our China/Hong Kong travels. It was too bad we had to leave it to continue our travels. We must of lucked out and got a suite because it was very big with a separate living room area, a wet bar, a large master bedroom area, a bathroom with a sauna and heated floors. The king size bed was extremely comfortable.
My whole experience while at the Mandarin was wonderful I stayed at the club level and it was totally worth it happy hour was wonderful and light snacks were nothing but light, enough for a light dinner or lunch. Also the complimentary laundry and car were a very nice touch. Facilities and rooms were top notch, I would stay there again if I ever return to Shanghai.

Good maintained hotel in the less premium part of Pudong. Very nice view to Pudong's skyline. Practically no restaurants for a tourist in the vincinity, however very good dining facilities. Good metro connection 50m away.
"Top Class Hotel opposite the famous Century Park."
Stayed for 3 days and everything went smooth from the check in to check out. The hotel stands above the Century Park Station - Metro Line 2 which connects you to the airport within 45 minutes. You can also take the Maglev from Longyan Rd Station which is one stop from Century Park and will transport you in 8 minutes to the Airport. Room facilities are very good, good beds, lighting is perfect, bathroom and toilet is perfect. Even the mini bar is well stocked. The only concern I had was the breakfast which was overpriced although I didn't eat. Internet is free but not high speed.
Next to the Hotel is a nice bakery called Pallete which opens from 7am to 10 pm. The food is good and not expensive. Also the 24 hr Family Mart convenience store is next door.
There is a supermarket opposite the hotel called Century Mart but it's sells mostly local stuff but there is plenty of fruits, food land drinks available. It closes at 10pm.
Ask for higher floors rooms and with the park view. The place is very silent as its in a residential area of Pudong.
Line 2 can take you to many places in Shanghai so use the train often to beat the Shanghai traffic. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shanghai.
Great hotel except for the Internet service which was very slow and we weren't notified that the pool was under construction till we got there. The concierge could be more informative. She wasn't from shanghai so she had to ask others and use the Internet to help us.

Good clean hotel. Staff was helpful but not overly experienced. Did not tell me about sauna, steam room and other facilities. Breakfast is not good for the price - expected more Authentic and fresh Chinese food but instead was unremarkable western food. There are better food choices outside. The opposite road has some seamy "massage" places and touts bug you when you get out at night. But it's a good business hotel.
A bustling center of commerce, Lujiazui's skyscrapers form the city's iconic skyline. The Jin Mao Building and Shanghai World Financial Center, the tallest building in China, are here, alongside the poetic silhouette of the Oriental Pearl Tower, where you can step into the sky on its glass bottom deck. Visitors can tour the Shanghai Science & Technology Museum or ferry to the historic Bund district.
