Couldn't of asked for a better hotel experience in our China/Hong Kong travels. It was too bad we had to leave it to continue our travels. We must of lucked out and got a suite because it was very big with a separate living room area, a wet bar, a large master bedroom area, a bathroom with a sauna and heated floors. The king size bed was extremely comfortable.
Right above the subway that can simply take you anywhere you want. Train to airport just 9 minutes taking the Magev. Staffs are very helpful, and a beautiful garden, Century Park, just across the street.
One of the best business hotels I have stayed in anywhere, for the price. Unpretentious yet attentive staff. Executive Lounge staff particularly attentive to the needs of busy travellers. The Lounge was very comfortable. There was a good range of food and beverages available most of the time. I was holed up in the hotel for a couple of days due to a typoon, although this turned out to be a pleasant experience, as I spent most of the time working in the executive lounge, working out in the gym, or relaxing in the sauna, pool and spa. Concierge always managed to procure a taxi when I needed one.
My whole experience while at the Mandarin was wonderful I stayed at the club level and it was totally worth it happy hour was wonderful and light snacks were nothing but light, enough for a light dinner or lunch. Also the complimentary laundry and car were a very nice touch. Facilities and rooms were top notch, I would stay there again if I ever return to Shanghai.

Good clean hotel. Staff was helpful but not overly experienced. Did not tell me about sauna, steam room and other facilities. Breakfast is not good for the price - expected more Authentic and fresh Chinese food but instead was unremarkable western food. There are better food choices outside. The opposite road has some seamy "massage" places and touts bug you when you get out at night. But it's a good business hotel.
A bustling center of commerce, Lujiazui's skyscrapers form the city's iconic skyline. The Jin Mao Building and Shanghai World Financial Center, the tallest building in China, are here, alongside the poetic silhouette of the Oriental Pearl Tower, where you can step into the sky on its glass bottom deck. Visitors can tour the Shanghai Science & Technology Museum or ferry to the historic Bund district.
