Truly grand, the Palace is THE place to stay in Luzern. Comfortable, quiet and luxurious our stay was quite impressive. Staff is so helpful and we felt pampered. The new restaurant is great as is the informal outdoor lounge right on the waterfront promenade. So close to town we walked everywhere, yet it is out of the city center, away from noise and congestion.

Room was very good, luxurious, clean sheats .Polite staff. English speaking. But the only problem was room was not inside hotel . few 100 metres away from hotel .... For b.fast/ lunch / dinner u have to come to hotel...
Overall, our stay here was great! It was a nice sized, clean room and restroom. The staff was helpful, but not overly friendly. (With the exception of the restaurant staff, they were fabulous and the food was wonderful!) There was a slightly strange smell in the room. At first we thought it was cigarette smoke, but we determined it must be one of the cleaning products. I also think they must open the window when they clean because there were some flying bugs near the window, and one did land on me in the middle of the night, waking me up. That grossed me out, but there were a lot of those types of bugs in the city. There is also a city tax you have to pay upon check out - just FYI. Breakfast buffet was great, but be aware that they don't open it until 9 on Sundays. Location is good, but not great. Super close to the train station, but no views of the beautiful Lake Luzern.
Really good hotel, little things like a really comfey bed, kettle and coffee in room which is unsual and staff were great. Views were great and i really like the amount of live music in the hotel, overall excellent hotel
