Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and bed was comfortable and air con worked very well in bedroom in a heatwave! Breakfast room was a little tight for the number of guests staying and air con did not really operate that well in reception area and breakfast room. We enjoyed our stay in Lucca and Villa Romantica!

Great hotel and Location
This hotel was beautiful, very clean with a lovely outside. The staff were very accommodating and managed to get rooms ready for our very large party so that we could leave luggage before check in. The location is a short walk from the walls of Lucca, so a great opportunity to walk through them on the way to the inner walls. I would recommend. Thanks for a great stay.

A small hotel just outside the walls of Lucca, so an easy walk into the town. A delightful villa set in pleasant gardens. A pity that the swimming pool is no longer there.

Lovely visit to Lucca
Beautiful villa and gardens. Everything was clean and well-kept. The rooms and common areas were very comfortable. I loved the location, just outside the old city wall. Extremely convenient if traveling by car.

Property was fine. When we arrived, the building was locked and no one was there. Two hours later owner/manager turned up. He said he knew nothing of our reservation. I had confirmation on my phone. He blamed Orbitz. We missed out on a rest and an opera we’d planned to go to. So not happy at all.

Ideal for short stay at Lucca
A lovely family run B&B just outside the walls of Lucca. 20 min walk to centre, or borrow a bike. Small and wonderfully cold swimming pool to cool down before an evening on the town. Perfect for a short stay..

Great location but looking tired.
just outside the city walls, large villa with garden and small pool and jacuzzi that doesn't work properly. Whole place looking rather tired and the owner Adolph looking to retirement. Let us borrow bikes to cycle around Lucca. Lovely city with lovely bars and restaurants. perfect location to visit florence and Pisa for day trips.

Lucca - Tuscan Delight!
We loved our three night stay at Villa Romantica and we're sorry we were unable to stay longer. Our room was very comfortable and the Villa although outside the walls was a very short walk to the central area. It was lovely waking to chirping birds each morning! Our hosts were very kind and helpful and provided a delicious breakfast each morning in the charming breakfast room. Although we didn't have time to use the pool, it looked very inviting and the cabana provided a cool area to relax. We were also able to borrow bikes for our ride around the walls. We would certainly stay at Villa Romantica on a return visit to Lucca.

Location is just outside gates so very convenient to restaurants, museums etc. It also was great to relax in the private, quiet gardens/ yard. Staff was wonderful, their advice made our two day stay memorable, room very comfortable and a great breakfast in the am..bikes available or a fun ride on the wall!,

Lucca Lovely
This hotel is very well located with only a short walk to the city walls. The owner is welcoming and very helpful. A good map is provided to help with making the most of the city and the owner can give good tips about restaurants and things to see and do. We opted for a suite which gave us more space which we enjoyed. Our bed was lovely and large; but perhaps rather too firm for our liking with firm pillows. Overall though we were very comfortable and if we go to Lucca again we would stay here.

A family villa is lovingly run by a sweet and friendly family . The Villa Romanica is tastefully furnished with a nice garden and pool. A short and easy walk to Lucca. The breakfast had lots of variety with eggs boiled to perfection. Only thing we couldn't get over was the hardest pillows ever. Will definitely return.

Good location, nice rooms and great service
Located only 500 m outside Lucca's walls. Old villa turned into a well functioning B&B. We had a suite and the apartment for our party of 5. Easy parking, beautiful garden and nice pool area. Very good breakfast is served and the family is in general very service minded. Highly recommended.

Elegant and charming Bed & Breakfast in Lucca
We have been to Lucca many times but our stay at the Villa Romantica was one of our best. It is located outside the city walls but at a short distance from the historic centre. The rooms are beautifully decorated. Breakfast is plentiful and served with style in the breakfast room or glazed verandah. It is an elegant and charming place to stay for a few days and our hosts were very friendly and helpful.

A block from the walled city
A short block's walk to Lucca's walled city, and the hotel garden and grounds gave it a very pleasant setting. It's across the street from the stadium so if there's a game it might be noisy, but games apparently aren't common. The owner was knowledgable and very helpful, and the hotel's parking is a great positive. We'd definitely stay here again.

Great family-run hotel in Lucca!
This hotel provided a great base to explore Lucca, Pisa and areas of Tuscany. We enjoyed riding their rental bicycles around the wall and visiting several recommended restaurants, cafés and trattorias in Lucca.

Excellent location within 5 mins. walk to the walls of Lucca, which is a lovely walled city with plenty to see & do, with some excellent places to eat. Hotel offers a small choice of breakfast items but plentiful and good - offer of boiled egg to go with the hams & cheese. Excellent service offered by all staff. Parking was easy in grounds of hotel which was at no additional cost. Room was comfortable and of a good size. Excellent shower in decent sized bathroom. Would definitely recommend.

Friendly, family run guest house in good location
Received a warm welcome here which continued for the three days we stayed. Very comfortable, clean room and en suite facilities. Good breakfast with variety of pastries each day. Free use of bicycles made visiting Lucca really easy. Pool area was very enjoyable.

Cosy B&B close to Old Town Lucca
Pleasantly surprised by cosiness of this lovely B&B and it's close proximity to Old Town Lucca. Family-operated you immediately feel at home in your home away from home. Only negatives were the noise level from traffic in the morning and photos lead you to believe it is located in more of a country setting which is not the case. Would recommend if you are looking for very close proximity to city of Lucca.

The service was terrific! Emmanuale was so helpful with acccomodations, directions and suggestions.Each day his personal breakfast service was wonderful too. A very nice property only a block away from the Lucca town wall. Nice to use the bicyles one day too.
