“Perfect place to stay in Lucca”
Staff were very helpful about places to see and booked resaurants for us. The breakfasts were fine even if the hot foods(bacon,sausage and eggs) were never very hot. Umbrellas were provided and this was an absolute necessity as we used them regularly durung our 4 day stay.
“A real find”
We were initially concerned to find that we were in the annexe across the road (Residenza Dell'Alba) but we didn't need to be because our superior room was fantastic. The entry to the annexe was over a glass floor showing the original foundations. Our room was modern with a bath, shower etc. a massive bed and free bottled water, kettle, coffee,tea & biscuit. There was also a free buffet in the main hotel during the day which we could help ourselves to drinks & snacks. The staff were extremely helpful and booked us a timed slot at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence when we asked for information at the desk.
“Excellent hotel”
We booked two rooms for a family of four - two adults and two teenagers expecting average rooms, maybe together and nothing special, based on the usual type of rooms we tend to be given in hotels. Well we were pleasantly surprised. Not only was the location ideal, the staff very helpful, the manager very pleasant, the rooms were of a high standard and located at the end of a short corridor which meant that a third door could turn the two rooms into a small suite. We booked basic accomodation. There's a spa bath on the roof, a complimentary refreshment service and local parking. Wouldn't hestitate to stay there again. Highly recommended.

Great hotel with very friendly staff who spoke good English
“Quiet and comfortable”
We were very impressed with this hotel. We stayed in the annexe and knew from the moment we checked in that this was going to be the best hotel on our tour. The room was large and airy, the facilities very good and the bathroom excellent. For those looking for a quiet place to stay, it was perfect. The free coffee bar and the free bikes were a master stroke. Will certainly go back again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Lucca.
“Great hotel within the city walls”
Fantastic hotel. We got an upgrade to an enormous suite. Staff could not have been more friendly and helpful.

The hotel was simply perfect. We arrived by train and the hotel is just 10 min walk from the station. There are bikes in the hotel to cycle around the wall, free of charge. Also free of charge during the day are drinks (hot and cold) in a small area behind reception. What a nice touch!
“Looking forward to visiting again”
An excellent hotel and superbly located within the city walls. We arrived by car late in the evening and finding the Hotel within the narrow streets of Lucca in the dark could have been a challenge but the Sat Nav was a great help. The reception staff were always very friendly and helpful and their recommendations for places to visit and eat were always top notch. The Hotel is within easy walking distance of anywhere in Lucca and we were able to leave the car in the garage until we left. Bikes are available free of charge if desired but we preferred to walk around the City. The room was spacious enough for a few nights, spotlessly clean and the bathroom will equipped. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and free tea/coffee and water was available all day, often with cakes and snacks. There was an outdoor jacuzzi, sunbeds and towels were supplied. Breakfast outside on the relatively small patio area was superb and when we were there in June, the smell of Jasmine lingered in the warm air. We'll certainly be visiting again.
“Highly recommended”
I really can't recommend this hotel highly enough - excellent location; large, well-equipped, comfortable room; friendly, helpful (English-speaking) staff; good breakfast. We were in a room in the annex (just across the street from the main hotel) which was very modern and stylish (and quiet). Lucca itself is beautiful (much nicer than over-busy Florence, in my opinion). Hotel's recommendation for restaurants were also excellent.
“Great Hotel in sleepy city”
Both the hotel and Lucca were a delight. We stayed in the new annexe in a suite which easily coped with us and our 14 year old daughter. Breakfast was good and the extras, free bike hire,free audio guides for the city,were a lovely surprise. Would definitely return.
