“Will recommend this hotel to others”

The room was nice but the bathroom was a bit disappointing. There was a nasty smell upon arrival and it got worse and worse. We only stayed for 2 nights and by the time the smell was unbearable, we were about to check out. Elephant Blanc, the restaurant next to the pool was nice. Overall, we were rather happy with our stay.

Area recommendations

1) Take the boat to Pak O Caves. Bring a book, it's a 2 hr ride 2) Sunset / sunrise at Phu Si Hill 3) Alms ceremony at 6am, got to leave the hotel atb 530am! We only went for 3 days, should have stayed a bit longer

“Good, but...”

The Hotel is very nice; the staff is helpful; the spa is quite good - but for the price, I wasn't expecting to be given a room with just a shower booth and no bath. My advice, then, is that you avoid room 206, not only because of the conspicuous absence of the bath but also because the minibar fridge sounded like a power plant, something which, believe me, can have some impact upon your sleep. Booking tours or hotel transfers with the hotel is also one of those things you should think twice: they are overpriced and, particularly on the tours, there is no 'value added' in booking them through the hotel instead of booking them directly with one of the many travel agencies you can find in Luang Prabang.

“Loved the place! A peaceful escape with a great spa!”

This hotel was beautiful. Walkable to town, but you never want to leave the peaceful pool and beautiful room with great balcony. Cannot wait to return.

“Hotel Maison Souvannaphoum, un charme fou tout près du centre .”

Cette hotel est très bien situé a proximité immédiate du centre de Luang Prabang et de toutes ses attractions. La taille de l'hotel fait que l'on se sent "chez soi", l'architecture est ravissante, un ancien palais dans un joli jardin. La piscine et le décor tout autour est exquis. Le personnel charmant, attentioné et discret. Le restaurant est excellent et situé au bord de la piscine, les petits déjeuners sont très soignés. Seule la salle de bains de la chambre gagne à etre un peu refaite mais l'hotel est à recommander. Nous avons esayé les massages au Spa, ils sont excellents dans un décor raffiné.

Tous les temples, plus beaux les uns que les autres !

Ne ratez pas le marché tous les soirs. La ville a plusieurs boutiques d'artisanat, surtout faites le plein de soieries.

Il y a de nombreux petits restaurants savoureux et à tous les prix. Ne pas rater le ragout de buffle! Expérience inoubliable le marché du soir avec ses innombrables stand de grillades et de spécialités locales pour presque rien....a essayer absolument.

“Oase van rust en service in Luang Prabang!”

UItermatelijke vriendelijke staf, als te verwachten in Azie, ZEER service minded. Kleinschalige oud paleisje, excellente tuin, keuken en op korte loopafstand van centrum en bezienswaardigheden in LP. Wel wat duurder, maar geld zeker waard! Goede kamer, badkamer wat basic

Veelheid van Budistische tempels, kloosters, net om de hoek is smorgens de dagelijkse monniken bedel tocht te zien, en aan deel te nemen, wel om 05:45 buiten staan!
