Gorgeous boutique hotel

Posted 15-Jun-2014
Pros: The staff, location and quality.
Cons: Cant think of anything.
Location: The highlight for us was going to Free the Bears Sanctuary at the falls, seeing the rescued bears adapting to their freedom was inspirational.
This small hotel is located opposite the river and is an old boutique hotel in beautiful green gardens. We arrived in the middle of a storm and the staff went out of the way to accommodate us and make us comfortable. We have 3 lovely nights and could have stayed longer. Our room was a deluxe balcony room which gave us the option of sitting outside on a big deck watching the world go by. We ate at the riverside restaurant and the food was exceptional. Would definitely come back to stay and highly recommend to others.

Beautiful room. Quiet location but only minutes from restaurants/bars. Excellent breakfast. Particularly mention to the woman (manager) who kindly arranged an early breakfast along with some croissants to go on our last day as we were leaving very early. Excellent service.

Excellent

Pros: Breakfast is delicious and served at the riverfront across the street.
Location: The hotel is located 1 road from main street. And at the river.
The room is big with all facilities needed. AC, TV, fan, free minibar. The vintage decoration and style give the hotel a perfect environment. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Comfortable Hotel with Khan River View

Posted 15-Sep-2013
Pros: Excellent location - quiet and easy to walk to any part of the "old town" peninsula. Nice extras: breakfast, use of bicycles, free minibar.
Location: Very close to a number of temples, and just one block off the main road (Sisavangvong/Sakkaline) that runs through the peninsular part of town.
Chose Burasari after extensive internet research for our first stay in Luang Prabang. My husband and I were not disappointed. As a bit of background, he's Thai and I'm an American familiar with travel throughout SE Asia. Given our Eastern/Western expectations, it is not often we find places that both of us truly enjoy. We stayed in late August 2013 (low season) and had a deluxe, river view room. Both the room and common areas were beautifully appointed and comfortable. We found the staff to be friendly, responsive and helpful. The included breakfast was wonderful. You are able to order from a set menu, that is somewhat limited but was diverse enough that it never felt repetitive during our week-long stay. Also, the complimentary minibar (stocked with cold sodas, beer, cookies and chips) was a nice touch. The hotel is located in the "old town" right across the street from the Khan River, and within easy walking distance of numerous temples, restaurants, shops and about 15 minutes from the night market area. Burasari also has bicycles available for guests (free of charge) that make it a little easier to explore the area.

Wonderful place to stay in Luang Prabang

Excellent, small bungalow-like facility. Very clean and accommodating services. Provided free bicycles. Arranged for giving alms for monks. Excellent suggestions for local visits and restaurants. Would certainly stay there next time in Luang Prabang.
