Heritage around the corner from the Monks Walk
I love antique heritage hotels, and The Burasari offers an authentic experience of a comfortable 'living museum' in a sense, that one can step into and relax, looking out upon the meandering Mekong, depending on the aspect. The furnishings are antique and appropriate. The location is wonderfully easy for rising at 5.30am, experiencing the reverential walk of the Monks at 6.00am, with the option of dozing back to sleep at 6.30am to 9.30am. You'll still be up in time for the daily smorgasbord of a breakfast menu, served graciously by, Vinzen and his friend. The hotel naturally cannot offer a pool, and I so appreciated the suggestions of who recommended hotels where I could pay a very reasonable sum to swim and laze a half day away with a book. All the Reception staff, and especially Litset (sp) were very present and helpful.

A nice hotel in a good location
The Burasari is in the traditional Lao style and overlooks the Nam Khan river. Traffic noise was bad all day and there were major contruction works being done on the river bank. It is one street away from the main street of Luang Prabang, where there are many restaurants, shops and temples. It is within walking distance of all of the sights in the old town and very close to one area where the monks receive donations of food early in the morning. We had a good sized room, without a balcony, but it was dark and starting to show signs of age. We enjoyed our stay but thought that it was over-priced. Breakfast was ordered from a menu and freshly prepared. Fresh fruit was sliced at your table. A variety of freshly baked breads were available. Staff were very helpful and attentive. The restaurant and bar consisted of two areas, one in the hotel and one across the road overlooking the river. It had an extensive wine list but needed more wine available by the glass.

Perfect relaxing holiday
Stayed at a room with river view on a second floor. Very cozy and perfect for a couple. Staff here are very friendly and helpful and was able to arrange a day trip for us even with a short notice. There is a pool table at lobby and we enjoyed playing eight ball. シャワーがカーテンで仕切られているだけなので、カップルであれば問題ありませんが、友人同士でお泊りの際は他タイプのお部屋をおすすめします。朝食のブッフェは温かいものが3品ほど日替わりで、卵料理はお好みをオーダーできます。なお、お部屋にあるコーヒーはインスタントでなくBrew Coffeeでした。 無料のアトラクションがついていたので、サンセットリバークルーズも楽しめました。夕暮れにメコン川に漂っている時間は安らげました。

The hotel was absolutely fantastic and the staff were brilliant and helpful. The only negative and it isn’t one really was that they had a longboat festival on so it was a bit noisy, but it really wasn’t an issue.

We spent three lovely nights at the Bursari Heritage. What a delightful stay! From the general manager to the waitstaff to the kitchen staff, everyone ensure that we had an amazing stay. The high quality of service coupled with the amenities provided for booking a room made our stay spectacular. I would not hesitate to recommend this place to anybody. We really enjoyed our cooking class, the welcome cocktail, as well as the wonderful offering of the alms to the Buddhist monks in the morning. Luang Prabang is magical and having a place like Bursari Heritage adds to the magic.

Hotel is located at a quiet corner of the town with spacious room and friendly staffs. Cocktails are nice there and it is good for those who want a quiet and relaxing trip. The staffs try their best to make you feel welcome and accommodates to the needs of guest. Only cons is on the noise cancellation. If you stay on the first floor (Hotel building has 2 levels), you might be disturbed by the occupants staying above when they decide to run / storm their feet or you as the wooden floor makes quiet a loud sound upon impact. Otherwise, its all good.

Don’t like the way how they check you in they mixed up my room with other guests Give me the wrong room ...by the time I found out is at the end .... The weather in summer is too hot... should go in winter. The food at the hotel is excellent ..staff are very friendly and helpful...

A fabulous place to stay in Luang Prabang!
Our stay at the Burasari Heritage was perfect in every way. The staff are excellent and ever so helpful; Lan, the front office manager, is extraordinarily attentive and kind. The breakfast (made to order) is exceptional, and the rooms and grounds are truly lovely. We were also treated to a cooking class, which was fun and informative, and the food we prepared (with Nao's expert assistance) was excellent - especially the green papaya salad and the coconut soup! Burasari also provides free bicycles; they are well maintained and very comfortable to ride. So that was a nice touch as well. My only complaint - and it is a small one - the lighting in the rooms could be improved. The dark wood paneling, while gorgeous, is dark (duh!), and the lighting simply isn't up to the task of illuminating the room well. Even during the day when you open the shutters, the room is not well lit. Better bedside lighting would be easy to provide and would help a lot, especially for those of us who like to read at night. But as I said, a minor detail in what was otherwise a fabulous stay. Location is also fabulous - quiet yet close to everything. I highly recommend.

I had a wonderful stay at the Burasari Heritage Luang Prabang. The staff was outstanding with perfect English and accommodated me with all the requests I made. The room was elegant with many amenities and the location was perfect between the two rivers right in the city; whilst still being quiet and very romantic. I strongly recommend this hotel.

This is a beautiful hotel, centrally located in the heart and center of Luang Prabang. Saying that, however, I do think the price is a bit high for what you actually get. Pros: - The staff is very friendly. - The hotel is very clean and well kept. - Amazing food - Amazing location - Comfortable bed - Free mini bar Cons: - The driver was not waiting inside the airport for me when I arrived. He was asleep in the car. I actually had to walk to the parking lot and luckily he woke up before I got to the car. Unacceptable! I should've got a discount for this. The car itself is unmaintained, which for a car that beautiful was a letdown. The hotel charges too much for this service. - The bathroom is part of the bedroom, no separation. This could be quite awkward if you're with someone and you need to use the toilet. Fix ASAP! - The walls are a bit thin and it felt like the people outside were in my room. My room was above the kitchen and next to the street, so it could get noisy. - The free cocktail is nice, but for the price we pay to stay here the free cocktail should cover any drink on the menu. I just wanted a glass of wine, thinking it was covered under the free cocktail, and I wasn't told till after I finished it that that was not the case. Also, they barely give you enough wine. They don't pour to the widest part of the glass as you're supposed to. Felt like that was done on purpose. The wine itself was way overpriced. Please fix!

Atmospheric, however service was a bit directionless. Reception staff lacked confidence, perhaps lack training or command of english or both. Ample staff, but not sure who's in charge of what. Everything worked out fine, includig tours, but execution felt a bit iffy. Comfy beds and big rooms but open shower and toilets a bit awkaward when having to do a Number2. Cleaners were otherwise spotless. Our room had minimal bench space at sink. Airport transfers are not complimentary despite what is said on reviews. Could do with a facelift as some of the upholstery have seen better days.

We had a great stay at the Burasari Heritage. The hotel was quiet, clean, comfortable and had a lovely decor that brought some of Luang Prabang's special charm into our room each night. For example, the art in the room were framed necklaces from some of the Laotian mountain cultures. Breakfast was always fresh, tasty and there was a good variety that included Laotian dishes. We took a cooking class that included an insightful trip to the market and a half hour after our return, we were eating a four course Lao meal that we had helped to prepare. The staff was terrific. Lan and the others at the hotel helped us arrange trips to the waterfalls and showed us how to respectfully participate in the early morning alms giving ceremony. We also used the Burasari Spa and had good, relaxing massages.

Elegant, romantic hotel in Luang Prabang
Burasari Heritage is a elegant French colonial style hotel in Luang Prabang. My partner and I stayed for one night on the way back to Vientiane from Nong Khiaw. Our room was luxurious, with warm red and gold fabrics, beautiful stone tile and wood floors, and a rainfall shower. Plenty of other creature comforts as well -- good WiFi, flat screen TV, minibar. There's a high-end spa we didn't have a chance to try, and a classy river-view restaurant and bar. Lovely romantic hotel for a couple. There are so many wonderful hotels in Luang Prabang that I think we could have found somewhere with the same quality that was a little less pricey, but definitely a beautiful hotel!

Perfect location with a wonderful staff. They go out of their way to make the stay special. We loved the breakfast and the vintage feel, but the amenities were modern and WiFi worked great. Book the airport pick up in a vintage Mercedes. It was a fun intro to LP.

Nice rustic hotel with a New Orleans French quarter feel. Great location and very nice and helpful staff. Organized many a pleasurable tours for us. Hotel is on a fairly busy street with scooters racing by so can be a bit noisy at times. A speed bump may do wonders.

UNESCO influenced hotel design on the river
Free airport transportation. Fabulous and very attentive staff. Rooms are interesting with quick daily room turnovers, delicious breakfasts and Terrace dining . Ceiling fans were very effective in keeping mosquitoes at bay. The refrigerator is stocked with amenities including Laos Beer + other assorted beverages, potato chips, all courtesy of the hotel. Unfortunately , two of our Trip Advisor excursion guides were 'no shows' so the hotel manager arranged a private river trip to Pak Ou Caves & hill tribe village. The hotel location is in walking distance to town and block away where the monks collect their morning alms. We loved the property.

Outstanding stay at Burasari Heritage hotel
Incredible hotel in a wonderful quiet but beautiful location overlooking the Nam Kam river and one street away from the main temples and alms giving. The rooms were beautifully decorated, comfortable and spacious. The service could not have been better. The free pick up (in a vintage Mercedes) and included dinner and spa were just perfect.

I don't know where to start with how amazing this place is! I am lying in the bedroom of the hotel right now and thinking how much I needed to give this place the top rating it deserves. It certainly is one of the best places I have stayed in my life. The attention to every detail from your comfort and enjoyment to the furnishings is impeccable. The breakfast is delicious with an a la carte option to go with the fresh buffet. The staff are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. They could not be more giving in their approach to hospitality. Everything that you could want is provided. I would love to spend longer here or come back again!

Originally only booked for 2 nights, and then 2 nights at Sofitel Luang Prabang down the street, but we made the mistake of visiting Burasari first and ultimately didn't want to check out and leave. Our check in was both smooth, a breeze and very detailed. We were picked up in the hotels vintage Mercedes which was a nice touch. We had been traveling Southeastern Asia for a month, and after visiting 14 cities within 5 different countries we were both a bit exhausted and out of currency. All we had left were American Express traveler cheques, and no bank in Laos would touch them. After calling our credit card American Express for help, we were wired currency by western union at approximately 4:50pm. We had informed the front desk of our predicament and had asked for the best way to get to the bank before 5:00pm, and the front desk had insisted and even arranged that we take their vintage car so that we could make it in time. It was their initiative, their kindness that started our stay with Burasari wonderful. The next day we had missed breakfast by 30 minutes and we kindly asked that they make an exception as we didn't want lunch, but rather eggs, bacon, and good ol' coffee. A quick phone call to the Chef, and he immediately agreed to prepare us breakfast. They helped arrange a visit/transportation to the nearby waterfalls which turned out to be a beautiful afternoon. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is excellent.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay in the hotel. Food was excellent. The staff was very polite . The location pf the hotel was very closed to the night market. The spa was very well manage and the massage were very relaxing.

Beautiful colonial style hotel
Comfortable and luxurious rooms in a great location opposite the Khan River. The room price includes breakfast and dinner but you can switch dinner for a massage at the spa if you want to eat somewhere else. It was a great deal and we really enjoyed it.

great little hotel in lovely location
Really enjoyed our short time here however there were a few things to mention - room really charming on ground floor - poor lighting in the bedroom - virtually impossible to see yourself if applying makeup etc - shower a little bit fiddly - closing the toilet door was a bit fiddly - rock hard bed. Breakfast was nice but the food should be covered on the buffet table - orange juice had flies in it and the yoghurt etc was warm. Staff extremely nice and friendly, Return free transfer to the airport most appreciated. We ate dinner in on the first evening - was ok but not great and so would have preferred to have a local restaurant recommended. All in all a great little hotel and lovely evening sunset boat ride also free so very much appreciated.

I was upgrade to deluxe gardenview but i would say it is garden view plus the river! It is not too far to walk to night market (about 15 mins)
