Just right

The hotel is very easy to find and close to the shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes. It is a small family run place which means they take pride in their hotel. It is very clean, owners are super friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Excellent Service

Posted 01-Jan-2014 on Hotels.com
The location of the hotel is very near the train station and just a 5 mins walk away from Our Lady of Lourdes. The room was very clean and comfy for all of us. The hotel owner Matilda, was very a very nice lady. Our reservation was initially cancelled due to a credit card error, which I was never informed of. When i contacted the hotel owner to inform her we would be late to check in, she informed us that there our reservation was cancelled, which shocked me. However, she immediately made the room available for us and charged us the rate that was quoted as per reserved, and also waited for us till late night for us to check in. Good service and we had a great stay!

Very disappointing experience

Posted 21-Nov-2013
Pros: Nothing
Cons: I stayed in many places around the world and never had any problems. How this hotel can be on the list of hotels provided by Expedia?
Location: Location is not bad and can leave car parked outside on the street while wondering around local area.
Stayed only one night, did not see anyone inside the hotel. Get entry inside by the code provided on the internet with my booking.Keys to the room were left in the envelope on the desk at the front door. There was no soap or towel in the room and nobody to ask for. After all day travel could not wash myself as was too late to find anything. In the morning had to leave keys in the same place where I fund them night before.

It a quite nice and cheap hotel. Friendly environment and the room was cleaned everyday except the toilet did not flash properly.

This is a one star hotel and it looks somewhat run down from the outside. When looking at the narrow hotel facade from the street, you will realize that you are in for something rather basic. When taking the elevator inside the hotel or going through its long and narrow corridors, same impression. The rooms, although basic and not very spacious, are clean. We had no bad experience when it comes to using the room. The service is friendly, the owners (or managers, we don't know) are friendly and will help you with information that you need. A good point of the hotel is that you can park you car nearby in a free overnight parking - which is very convenient because the hotel doesn't have parking facilities. The location of the hotel is convenient, near the sanctuaries and several restaurants. Overall, this is acceptable.

It served its purpose

As the title says, it served its purpose. I had a 3 day stay-over before flying back to the UK. Carpets on the corridor floors would help to reduce noise from wheeled suitcases but that it more due to inconsiderate "guests" than the hotel itself. BUT the buffet breakfast is well worth the stay alone. 5* for that.

Any port for an early flight

Posted 22-Oct-2012 on Hotels.com
Sufficient to say a handy place if one has an early start ie 6am as I did. Wi-Fi provided, but only downstairs (at present). Breakfast menu looked very good value at €6 (7.30 onwards) having done a lot of hotels/early mornings
