“Perfect for Fourth Street”
The Seelbach Bar is great. There is no pool or hot tub. However, if you are going to Louisville for Fourth Street, I would not want to stay anywhere else. It is about 200 yards from Fourth Street Live on Fourth street which is perfect for walking home. The service was great. The hotel is very old so the walls are thin, but it is very quaint.
“A Louisville Treasure”
My friend and I had a great time at this hotel. The staff was accommodating, the room was splendid, and the hotel itself was beautiful. We enjoyed listening to live jazz in the bar one night. Everything one would want to see downtown is walkable; I would definitely stay here again.
“Fourth Street Fiasco”
On Saturday nights they have concerts on "Fourth street". The noise was unbearable until wee hours of the night. So loud the whole hotel shook. On top of that the air conditioner clicks on every five minutes and was really load. I would not stay there again. Plus the internet did not work which is a hassle for business travel!!!!!!
“wedding weekend”
spent several days here for a wedding. Hotel staff very accomodating, especially the bellman and valet guys! The infamous Seelbach Bar was enjoyed by everyone in our group...within walking distance to several good restaurants in the area. The bathrooms are a bit small, as this is an older hotel, but not a deal-breaker for me in choosing this hotel at another time. A more than pleasant experience all the way around!
“great hotel and location”
The hotel was in a great location and the room was clean and nice . The bathroom sink plug was broke . but over all a great place we had stayed there one other time and we would go back.
“25th Anniversary”
My wife and I stayed at the Seelbach Hilton for our 25th Anniversary and had a wonderful time. Our dining experience at the five diamond Oakroom was second to none. Chef Bobby Benjamin came out to our table where he not only wished us "Happy Anniversary", but he also discussed his passion about cooking fresh food that was technically prepared. After dinner, we came back to our room to find chocolate covered strawberries and champagne. The Seelbach is a first class hotel where the guests are treated as royalty. Thank you Seelbach for creating an experience that we will cherish for another 25 years.
“Room was small”
Great stay. Hotel was very nice and historic looking. The room was very small but very comfortable bed. Old solid wood doors, cheesy wall paper but overall a nice stay. Great location to the Louisville Palace and 4th Street.
“Great Location Rooms not what I ordered Only got 1 bed and ordered 2 doubles”
I will recommend this hotel due to the quality and location. You should call and make sure your rooms are what you ordered. I ordered two double bed rooms and got one double bed room and a single bed. They had to bring a cot. Great service and I would go back. I should have called to check and make sure they had the room requests correct from Expedia.
“Wonderful Ambiance”
Great hotel! Old elegant charm. Rooms were large, bathroom very tiny. Great downtown location. Would definately return.
“Good location”
The Seelbach Hilton was in a great location. It is only a block from 4th Street Live and about four blocks from the Ohio River. We could walk to any destination. Also, the hotel staff was very helpful and polite during our entire stay. The only disappointment was the size of our hotel room. The room contained the bed, a desk, and an adjoining bathroom. I wish they had more room for a seating area.
