“Will go back”
Had a very nice time. Will go back.
“Gorgeous vintage hotel”
This is gorgeous hotel with beautiful millwork, antiques, moulding, etc. The lobby was luxurious and the bar there was on the urban bourbon trail. I'd suggest trying one of their bourbon flights. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. It's located just 2 blocks from "4th Street Live" which was great for going to at night and not having to drive. I would highly recommend this hotel.
“elegant home away from home in downtown Louisville”
old style elegance great town
“A comfortable and relaxing stay in Louisville . . .”
I can't image a more relaxing and secure environment. The Club Lounge was well attended, and the food was delicious. In fact, it might have been better than my own bedroom!
“kentucky hospitality”
I was upgraded to club level at no cost.. great service at front desk. very clean and nice amenities! Old world charm and friendly service.
“The Brown Hotel”
We wanted a special night to celebrate our anniversary, so we picked The Brown Hotel. The hotel is a beautiful, historic hotel in downtown Louisville. The staff was gracious and helpful and definitely service oriented. The valet and bell hops were friendly and efficient. It was, overall, a wonderful, pampering experience. My only disappointment was our dinner in their restaurant. We wanted a special dinner in an upscale setting. The dining room was beautiful and the service, attentive and helpful. My husband ordered a steak which was quite expensive. It was overcooked and stringy and certainly not the expected quality of an upscale restaurant. We were not planning on saying anything, but the manager asked specifically if it was okay as it was not finished. He just said it was overcooked. She agreed that it was definitely overdone and she apologized and took it away. We could overhear the waiter disagreeing that it was not overcooked. This made for an awkward remainder of the dinner. She did remove the meal from our bill and the waiter brought us an amazing dessert at no charge. I would definitely stay there again, but would probably not eat in the restaurant. They made the effort to make sure our stay was special. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.
“Lives Up to Expectations -- and Then Some”
We had a wonderful experience. Would gladly go back.
“5 Star with Southern hospitality and a European flair!”
My wife had not experienced the warmth and graciousness of Louisville before. She can't stop extolling her experience to everyone she meets. The Brown Hotel is the epitome of old Southern elegance.

“Good first trip to Louisville”
For my first trip to Louisville, staying at the Brown was a great suggestion. The hotel was top rate as were the amenities.
