“A great stay in Louisville.”

“La Quinta Inn Louisville perfect place to stay in Louisville”

My wife & I booked a room for business conference in Louisville in late Oct 2011. We're picky when it comes to hotels & weren't thrilled to see all the 3-5 star hotels were booked. We settled for La Quinta as it was the highest rated of its class. It far exceeds its rating & probably most rated higher than it. Not a single complaint. Room was clean & spacious. Beds were comfortable. Free, easy-to-use internet. Good continental breakfast. Exceptional staff. Clean bathroom with powerful shower & plenty of hot water. Nice kitchenette with microwave, fridge, sink, & cabinets. Surprisingly quiet given its proximity to the airport & major freeways. Didn't hear a lot of noise from surrounding rooms. You might be tempted to get a hotel in downtown Louisville to be close to Fourth Street Live & the downtown scene. If you have a car, I strongly recommend staying at La Quinta. Also, they have a shuttle that runs to Fourth Street Live. The truth is that there are a lot more fun things to do around the hotel than in Downtown Louisville. Fourth Street Live gets old quickly. This hotel is near the airport, expo center, Papa John's Stadium for Louisville Cardinal football, Churchill Downs, Six Flags, the zoo, the Mega Caverns, & much more. Side note: do the ziplines in Mega Caverns.....the only underground lines in the world. So much fun! I don't hesitate in recommending this hotel to all travels & will definitely stay here if I go back to Louisville in the future.

“"Great hotel personnel -- will go back":”

The hotel personnel and manager were very helpful. The lady who ran the breakfast buffet was great....her friendlyness and neatness was very much appreciated. The hotel over-all was very clean. Our room was comfortable and super clean. We could not have been more pleased wtih our stay.

Area recommendations

The location of the LaQuinta was convenient to Churchill Downs, which was the purpose of our visit to Louisville. Our friends and family members frequent Churchill Downs and I will recommend this hotel and location. The LaQuinta location has very quick and easy access to the interstates.

“Surprisingly Nice”

Being an admitted typical 4+ star snob ;-) I didn't expect much from this hotel. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the room provided. It was a good size, the bed was comfortable, and even though it is very close to the hotel you don't really hear the planes flying overhead. I definitely wouldn't feel bad staying here again.

“Sweet Suites”

Convenient to the airport, expo center, downtown and Churchhill Downs. Greatly maintained and attended to, comfy beds and an overall gem.

Area recommendations

Hop on I-65 for a quick 6 minute trip to the heart of the downtown L'Ville. Don't miss the Riverwalk Greenway for a run or stroll anytime of the day or evening. That park area is fantastic. And be sure to tour the Slugger Museum/Factory - it's the BEST tour. Also, head across the river to New Albany Indiana for a cool little old downtown district with new and emerging bars/bistros. Clarksville is neat too, but a bit sleepy and much OH River flooding when we were there.

“I love this motel”

“Week end get away”

Hotel was very spacious clean with little kitchen also had free breakfast which was very good. they also had a small pool with a grass area really nice.
