“Great location for games/races but management incompetent”

The hotel is in an industrial looking area but very close to U of Louisville Stadium & Churchill Downs. The closest restaurants are sports type places, for the area's best dining such as Jack Fry's you need to cab it. We were locked out of our room our 2d to last night (electronic lock malfunctioned) & the desk staff was totally unable to deal with it. The maintenance person didn't respond to their calls & they were unwilling or unable to pull the trigger on calling a locksmith bed finally called one ourselves but by the time the door was opened the hotel had put us in another room w/just the clothes on our backs. A comedy of errors ensued with theirawaking us hours later telling us we had to go back to our original room or all our stuff would sit in an unlocked room all night. The next morning we had to take the initiative to move again into a room that locked. The general manager never showed his face to us. Overall we were flabbergasted that a property in a national hotel chain would be run this way.

We were very happy with this hotel and would definitely stay again. The rooms were clean and the hotel was well kept. We might pass on the breakfast buffet... and there wasn't much else around.

Very nice hotel and room. Didn't have any shampoo or soap when we went to take a shower. But as soon as I called the front desk they brought some up. Honest mistake. I will stay again.

“Very Clean! Very helpful staff!!!”

This hotel has the "WOW" factor! We had to call for directions to the hotel because I didn't have them on me. And the man at the desk was so very helpful and friendly with helping us get there. The hotel and especially the room was clean and well kept. The only complaint I have is that the bed was too hard. We wanted to get pizza so we called the front desk and they recomended a great place and brought the menu and coupons right to our room! They also gave us a discount on tickets to the zoo!!! Right there at the desk they can purchase and print out the tickets at a discounted price for you! The people at the desk were very helpful and very friendly! And I have never stayed at a hotel this clean in my life!!!! SOOO CLEAN!!!

“Very nice Hotel”

I recently stayed there over night and thought the hotel was very nice, comfortable, and convenient. Had trouble with the wireless internet but that was resolved buy giving me a wired line. I would recommend this hotel. Very clean as well.

“Attentive, wonderful staff--Great room!”

Most everything was outstanding. One problem was the room we chose...our room wasn't ready when we arrived early. Rather than wait or come back, we were offered an open shower room. Every time we showered, the floor was flooded. Our analysis was that the shower rod curved out instead of straight across. The water ran down the curtain and out into the main area. We used all the towels just mopping up the floor. Not much fun.
