    “Fun weekend getaway”

    My husband and I stayed here for a weekend trip to Louisville. It was close to downtown restaurants and we enjoyed Brunch at Rivue in the hotel.

    “Nice Stay, excellent staff and service”

    Nice suites, a bit overpriced....but overall good. Staff very helpful and friendly, great service. Super comfy bedding.

    “Super convenient location and gorgous view!”

    This is an elegant hotel yet it has a welcome home feeling. So many unique touches from the derby horse sculpture outside and the classy chandalier inside, to the friendly helpful staff and convenient onside six dinning options. This hotel is now a must stay for all my visiting friends and family. Located right along the river, the view is amazing as well as the convenience of downtown an really easy access to all the interstates. Plenty of entertainment within easy walking or carriage ride. Now that i've stayed here, i'll be staying here everytime I visit Louisville.

    Area recommendations
    Aside from the immediate downtown area. The Clifton area has lots of art galleries and unique shops. If you're visiting on the 1st or last friday of the month try on of the trolley hops to visit the galleries.

    “Christmas time was great!”

    We got a black Friday deal for a suite and it was perfect for us + 3 kids. Spacious, clean, and great location!

    “Very Nice”

    Loved it. But not accustomed to paying extra for parking, breakfast, gym, etc. Just used another type of lodging.

    “Wonderful place to stay.”

    “Perfect location in Louisville.”

    We stayed at the Gaut House on a trip to see Bob Seger in concert. We were very happy with our experience there. The hotel was beautifully decorated and very clean. We ate in a restaurant at the hotel called Jeff Ruby. It was the perfect pre- concert place to be. The food was great and the atmosphere was perfect. The hotel is connected to the KFC Yum arena by a sky walk which made it the best hotel in Louisville for concert goers.

    “Large rooms, very nice!”

    Was extremely impressed with the size, cleanliness and comfort of the room. For an extended stay, you can not beat the Galt House.

    “felt like I was being used”

    I was charged for my meal at AJ's and then the waitress at put someone elses meal on my charge card. These charges were within a few minutes of each other. Took 1.5 hours the next day to get corrected, time away from my business. Then, I was charged 2 times for my shuttle from and to the airport. I paid cash at the shuttle, then the shuttle fee was charged to me on my rool. Again, had to go to three different people to get fixed. The Galt system makes the consumer go to the effort of getting these types of problems fixed. I am sure most people simply give up and pay. This is frustrating and I will never stay at the Galt again.
