“worth staying”

Great hotel. Great location downtown. Room was clean and comfortable. Would stay again. Felt it was a little pricey.

“A little disappointed in way I was treated”

Hotel was very clean , location was great. But the service I got when there was a problem with the room, was very rude. They got attitude with me, and hung up on me. That was my only problem with this hotel.

I was impressed with the courteous and professional staff. They had a great breakfast bar. Rooms are clean and comfy. Suggestion for improvement: Provide transportation to and from the airport

“Great Bed”

The room had everything we needed and the bed was super comfy. We chose the hotel for convenience to the Yum center and we were not disappointed, less than a 10 minute walk. Nicely decorated, clean and lots of towels.

“Enjoyable stay in L'ville!!!”

Well-stocked breakfast bar. Staff friendly and helpful. In fact, my wife had a health problem while we were staying at the hotel. Not only did the hotel shuttle take us to the emergency room, when we were ready to come back to the hotel at 4AM, several hours after the shuttle service stopped operating, they sent an employee over to the ER to bring us back to the hotel! I'd say that was service above and beyond the call of duty!!!

The hotel is located within walking distance of shopping, several restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to visit again if traveling to Louisville

TGIF in 4th Street Live was great for dinner. Toast on Market St. has a great breakfast.

“Comfortable in Louisville”

My experience at the hotel was very positive. I found the staff in particular to be very friendly and helpful with my concerns and questions. The breakfast was well-supplied and they kept up well with the demand, especially considering the number of guests who were there at the same time. The room was well-apportioned and comfortable. However, when I arrived, there was a used plastic spoon on the floor and the carpet was dusty/dirty along the edges, particularly near the wall where the bed was. That was a big disappointment considering how everything else seemed to be. The exercise room was well-maintained with new equipment, and the pool, while small, was nice. Another minor concern, which the hotel cannot help, is that although the location is convenient and easy to find, it is tricky getting into the facility because of the way the streets are configured, and the parking ramp is somewhat awkward to deal with. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel as a reasonably priced, comfortable stay, well worth the price.

Area recommendations

I would highly recommend the Louisville Slugger museum downtown. It has an interesting tour and exhibit as well as a nice gift shop. The building with its giant baseball bat outside is worth seeing in and of itself. Make sure that you are planning on checking your luggage, however, even if you buy only the smallest replica bat, as they are not allowed on planes. If you are looking for a place to walk/run while you are in the city, Cherokee park offers a large natural forested park in the middle of the city with both asphalt and dirt trails. It is a nice place to explore when you need some exercise and/or some quiet while you are visiting.

Getting around

I would definitely recommend renting a car if you fly into Louisville. The public transportation seems to be somewhat lacking, and the convenience of having a car allows you to travel farther around the area, which is necessary because many attractions are spread out over a large area. The airport is not far from downtown, however, so if you are not planning on venturing far from the city center, a taxi would not be expensive to get you into town. The city itself is a bit confusing in its layout, but not terribly difficult to navigate, and I had no problem getting around driving.

“Good value, conveniently located.”

This hotel met my expectations. All I wanted was a clean, comfortable hotel close to the convention center. This hotel is only a few blocks away from the convention center and the restaurant/entertainment area on Fourth Street. It was a very nice place to stay, and I would stay there again if I travel to Louisville.
