“Fantastic hotel!”
We have been spending Thanksgiving in Los Cabos every year for 11 years. We always stay at the Westin. It is absolutely fantastic! The staff are extremely friendly, professional and courteous. The hotel is in pristine condition and there is constant upkeep of the buildings and landscape. The hotel itself is an impressive structure and the view of the Sea of Cortez is spectacular. We stay in the "Royal Beach Club" every year which includes breakfast and an afternoon happy hour with hors d'oeuvres. We enjoy going into San Jose del Cabo (10 minutes away by taxi) for dinner because there are so many good restaurants but there are several dining options at the Westin so you really don't have to leave the resort. We can't wait to go back next year!
“Wonderful time!”
Fantastic location, beautiful property.
“Very nice resort, but no night life.”
The room, bed, view and everything associated with the room were great. The resort was striking in its architecture and for the money was a great deal. The bar and restaurants were totaly dead, so be ready to watch TV or go somewhere else for fun.
“Not worthy of four stars they tried to ruin our trip but we refused”
This hotel could not care if you were there or not. The staff is very unfriendly and is a disgrace to the Westin name. The hotel has obviously become a convention hotel rather than a resort and spa as adveritised as it was not properly staffed until the convention arrived at the end of our stay. Learn to give your room number for everything at this location. I think they would charge for showers if they could get away with it. The staff tried to ruin our trip but we refused to let them. Unless you drink do not expect to receive adequate service in any of the restaurants on property. They cater to those buying $200.00 bottles of wine. VERY DISSAPPOINTED THAT WE SPENT OUR HONEYMOON MONEY AT THIS "RESORT AND SPA" At least when you stay at a convention hotel you get excellent service. NOT THIS ONE!!! We heard so many great experiences on the plane from guests at other resorts it was disheartning. STAY AWAY FROM THE WESTIN RESORT AND SPA, it is anything but that.
“Secluded paradise”
What can you expect from Westin Los Cabos? It's beautiful, very well-maintained, has beachside pools and jacuzzi, a huge golf course, a mini golf course, roof top tennis course, nice clean gym and great spa. For the most part, the food was great but Americanized and in Mexico but no Mexican food. Expect to pay around $60 per meal per couple, not including drinks or tips. Cabo San Lucas is about 20 min. away and taxi costs about $30 each way. You can walk down to the main road and busses take you in same time for about $1.50. They pass by every 15 min. and stop running at 10 p.m. The hotel is in the middle of no where so is nice if you just want to stay at the resort and relax. You can literally lay on the sand till dawn watching the thousands of stars and hearing the crashing waves. This resort is not intended for people on a budget (expensive food and drinks) and for people planning to enjoy Cabo San Lucas and the beach waters. Resort has a private beach but the ocean is too dangerous to enter and there is a lifegurad posted making sure you do not enter. On a positive note, the resort is not a time share resort so you will not be harrassed to buy anything.
“What you see is what you get”
The Westin did a great job in every way. Hotel service is high and you should have a great time. The hotel is approx 8 miles away from the city of Cabo San Lucas. Rent a vehicle for max flexibility.
“Beautiful setting along the Cabot corridor”
I would recommend this hotel in a heartbeat. the setting is beautiful set away from the main highway. the pools were really nice with a separate pool for those adults there without children. I suggest renting a car so that you can enoy the cities of San Jose & Cabot San Lucas at your leisure. Be very cautious of the ocean. We went for a walk in the late afternoon & were hit by a wave which swept me into the ocean riptide. The medical staff at the Westin was outstanding & took great care of my injuries for the remainder of my stay. Take advantage of the many activities Cabo has to offer. I highly recommend the ATV ride thru Candelaria & sunset horseback trip offered by Amigo tours. There is an excellent guide to restaurants that you can purchase online for $10. It is worth buying even thouh some of the restaurants listed were no longer in business. An ocean view room is a must for the best experinence. We would definitely return.
“Paradise found”
The customer service was amazing. Food was great.
“Can't Wait to Go BACK”
The hotel staff was very friendly and most of the staff called me by name after the first day, my wife was very impressed which what matters most
“Fantastic!”
Great food! Beautiful location! Impeccable service! Get the ocean view, worth it! Hotel design is like a piece of art! Smoked cigars right on the beach and on balcony. Sent most of our trip in San Jose, old town art district. Check out Pier 19 in San Jose and ask for Aby! Tell him PANA Cigars sent you! Cabo, we will see you again!
