“We'll be back!”
The service staff at the hotel are friendly and warm. The guy running the activities knows you by name by the end of your first day. The childcare staff were awesome - my one year old took so well to them that he often refused to leave them, giving me more time to relax than I had expected! Great for families with young kids.
“Really nice place”
Had a great time with my wife and kids. You can go and visit the towns nearby or stay in the hotel and still have plenty to do. The food is good and has good variety each day. The dinner usually has a theme each day. The weather in Nov is amazing, not too hot but with plenty of sun.
“Fantastic all-inclusive resort”
All-inclusive is great if you have kids Absolutely the friendliest hotel staff I've encountered ever, very friendly, always willing to go the extra mile to make things right Worth the price Food selection a bit sparse if you are vegetarian - can manage but not that great
“Can't wait to return next year”
Outstanding service (especially concierge Jose), lovely room, impeccable grounds, food was good. Could use new mattresses, all else was perfect.
“do not book until heater in pool is fixed”
I DID LIKE THE HOTEL, VERY CLEAN, EMPLOYEES REALLY TRIED TO PLEASE., FOOD WAS GREAT. MY ONLY COMPLAINTS WERE, WE TOLD THEM WE WERE HANDICAPPED AND THEY STILL PUT US IN A ROOM THAT HAD A VERY DEEP BATHTUB &SHOWER THAT WAS 25 IN TALL AND VERY HARD FOR US TO USE. THE OTHER WAS THE HEATER IN THE POOL WAS NOT WORKING, SO THE WATER WAS SO COLD WE WERE UNABLE TO USE IT.
“Freezing Pool Review”
This was my first trip to Cabo. I am experienced in the all ilnclusive vacations but I usually vacation in Cancun, Mazatlan, Puerto Vallarta, Ixtapa or the Dominican Republic. I decided to try Cabo because the air time is only two hours from LAX. The plane time was great. The weather fabulous - no sticky heat and no rain. The hotel was nice, the rooms almost oversized. The golf course beautiful. The staff very accomodating. I was stunned when I found ou the pool wasn't heated. It was freezing. What should have been a great vacation suddenly had a huge hole in it. We were huddled in the hot tub -along with all the rest of the freezing guests - crammed in there trying enjoy our vacations. When I asked about the pool heater I was told it had one. It was only later I was told that it was only missing one part. I would definitely try Cabo again but the pool at the Melia Cabo Real was a deal breaker for me. I would have to try another resort.
“First time at an all inclusive”
We stayed at Melia Cabo Real from Sunday November 13th until Wednesday November 16th. Upon arriving at the hotel we did not receive the room upgrade that we were suppose to get. Our walk to our room was very dark and dreary. I agree with the other reviewers regarding the firmness of the beds. Our first night there was dissapointing. We woke up the next morning and walked out to the ppol and we were extremely happy. The overall amenities were great. eating breakfast outside with those views was a real treat. We booked an atv excursion through the hotel and everything worked out great! As for dinner we were very dissapointed that the Japanese restaurant was not open. They alternate the two restaurants every week. Overall we were satisfied with our stay.
“Can't wait to go back”
This place was beautiful. The only down fall was it is 15-20 minutes away from Centro. The taxi's cab drivers charge $25 just to go into town when you can take the bus for $2.50. That was the major down fall. However the Hotel was perfect. The staff was great. Extremely helpful, the place was always immaculate and clean. And the views were just breath taking. The hotel is very romantic with its settings yet they also have a kid friendly environment. I must say I was expecting less but received much more. I would recommend everyone and anyone to come here. It’s simply breathed taking and lovely. I will be coming back in the future. Thank you all staff and personnel at Melia Cabo Real. They made the stay perfect.
“Fun in the Sun”
This hotel is in a really good location it's right in between Downtown Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo which is where the airport is located. You're away from the hustle and bustle of downtown and you never hear a plan. The room are spacious and clean and the staff is very, very good. Always there to help and super nice. There was construction going on in the lobby the first couple of days that we were there but it didn't impact anything. When they were done, the lobby looked amaazing. Thee was one restaurant that was not open but that was no problem either. The food was good. I highly recommend an omelet from the omelet lady. They are amazing. The pool is nice and the swim up bar is always close by. The only complaint that we had was about our bed. It was as hard as a rock. I'm not talking firm or anything like that, I'm saying almost completely uncomfortable. We called down and had to get a pad to help it but it really didn't. Other than that, I would recommend this hotel.
“Very Nice Resort”
I would go back and I would suggest the resort to others. My biggest complaint is that the mattress was like a rock. I did call and get a pad put on the mattress which helped but it still was not very comfortable. The staff was great and very nice and worked very hard.
