“Quiet and Relaxing”
The place was beautiful!! If you want quiet and relaxing this is the place to go; if you want a little more entertainment not the place; The food could use a little help it was kind of boring up at "Maria's" the morning was the same thing all wk not good; If you like to eat this is not the place to be; we went to a place in Cabos last year and it was Excellent all the way around; this place lacked in service from their people, I was not impressed at all!! We went to the swim up bar two guys just walked right in front and didn't bother to ask what we needed or said wait will be right with you, nothing we were ignored so we left; The service at Maria's was ok but our second day their two waiters were fighting about who was going to sit who down so very not impressed; We were charged for drinking a Red Bull and a Gatorade out of the fridge when it is supposed to be ALL INCLUSIVE; this wasn't posted on their web site nor was it advised to us upon arrival, they said we pay extra for lobster, lamb and duck never said anything about the drinks, good thing it wasn't a big fee but it wasn't disclosed. The place was really beautiful I just hope they get their act together. OH...CAREFUL at the airport don't buy into anything the transport guys try to sell you just get to your hotel and you can get everything you need there as far as activities. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE TRANSPORTATION set up before you go or they will hammer you, pay no more than $18/person if not included already
“Wonderful Los Gabos Resort”
Excellent Resort with beautiful location and good food and overall service. And nice Activity Coordinator Fernan, who is very good with the kids. Only minus is that it does not have a swimmable beach but you can take a shuttle bus from the hotel to the marina.
“Best pick - would go again and recommend to families”
Better than expected.. in mid July it was a bit slow, not too many people, and no loud drinking and drunks at the pools.. there is activity at the more kid oriented pools.. gorgeous location and architecture throughout the premises. Awesome views of the mountains/rocks/arches extending out of Cabo and Marina from the pools and the swim up bars. The all inclusive was a must for me.. great food (try the tacos at El Patio - look for Carla). Go to Marias and ask for the chicken and seafood soups - look for Luis. They had some entertainment every night- folklore, disco, fiesta, cocktails night,.. fire pit lit up with awesome comfortable seating all around overlooking the ocean. No swim beach, but there is a walk-able beach with tons of life and crab to look at and enjoy.. I sat in the water with the kids just seeing the sunset from the ocean water. Loved this place. Shuttle every 2 hours takes you to and forth to Marina in Cabo (Marina Fiesta). Do not use Gray lines for shuttle from airport. We were 5 minutes late so they left us stranded. it is cheaper to take a taxi anyway.
“Great Value. Not A Top-5 star Diamond Hotel”
We just got back from Los Cabos and loved it. Great place to visit. Maybe to retire one day. The Hotel is very nice, great staff, excellent value for the ALL INCLUSIVE deal. The biggest complaint -- Only 1 real restaurant. Others, pool side buffets. I would recommend the hotel to families with kids - lots to do fun activities which include FREE horseback rides, Swedish massage, Wi-FI, . For adults -- stay at their sister hotel in downtown Cabos.
“Would love to go back”
If you want seculsion and romance perfect place! About 10 minutes from town. Only complaint bar areas close at 10pm.
“Can't wait to go back”
Loved everything about Hacienda Encantada!
“Great resort, stunning views, beautiful rooms but lacking customer service”
This resort is spectacular in all aspects except customer service. We had difficulty getting a top floor room which I had requested back in October of 2010, our refrigerator was to be stocked everyday and never was unless we made two or three calls. We had a confrontation with one of the hotel pool staff over two towels they said we were not supposed to have and demanded their return immediately. We constantly had to ask for drink refills as the staff just wasnt really concerned with this service. The quality of the food was ok, and the servings were more than sufficient. The positive aspect of this resort is the grounds, rooms, view and the Phase 1 pool. We spent almost everyday at the pool, and watched the sunset every night at Las Marias bar. Despite the problems with the service, we would probably go back. I will avoid the Time share presentation next time as the sales staff is relentless. This place is quiet for the most part and very relaxing. The spa is small, and lacking, I am sure this resort will continue to get better as it grows, it has the potential to be a Five Star facility.
“Excellent food”
If you get the "all inclusive" you won't be disappointed with the food. The resort is built on a hill, but they have golf carts to transport you always available. This resort is in the middle of the "corridor" with an unswimmable beach so plan to rent a car or stay and enjoy the resort.
“Most beautiful place but, not All inclusive friendly.”
Hacienda Encantada was the most georgous hotel in the most beautiful setting I have ever seen. It was extremely clean and decorated beautifully. The views were to die for, every room had a lovely and comfortable balcony with an ocean view, which we saw whales form daily. The Cabo arch was also in view from each room. This is a quiet hotel, no food or drink available after 10 PM. No night life, and we're not partiers, but some would have been nice. The workers spoke little english, those that did were friendly, those who didn't, you could tell wanted to be, but couldn't. Not once did we see anyone in a management/supervisor position, just workers. All inclusive was nice, but uncomfortable. No wristbands, they asked for your room # everytime you got anything and then had to sign for it everytime. It made you nervous that you might have a large bill when you checked out. Food was awesome, no complaints. Drinks too. Pools fantastic, lots of beach chairs-with great views. The whole place was so beautiful, just not lively and inviting. we got massages included and they were sooooo wonderful and professional. The hotel had theme nights with great food and so few participated or showed up, it was kinda sad. Could have been a really good time with more people. Sometimes things closed up early b/c noone was around to enjoy. The firepit was awesome. Either Sat or Sun night @ 10 or so beautiful fireworks were set off nextdoor, however HE didn't tell anyone. They never communicated.
“quality and value”
Excellent service from Expedia. We had several chages caused by airline flight difficulties, mechanical problems etc. Hacienda Encantada was perfect for us.Great location, great views, good to excellent food, and superlative service. Facilities were perfect. Clean and well maintained everywhere
