“Short Stay”

We only stayed there one night but found it to be a nice smaller hotel. Room was a little smaller than I would have liked. The bathroom in our room was very nice. We kept getting locked out of our room which was frustrating. For what we paid it was nice enough, but I personally prefer larger resort type hotels.

Area recommendations
The marina area is very nice to go for dinner or drinks. Medano beach is amazing! The restaurant on the corner across from this hotel was awsome!

“What is advertized versus what you get”

Room description does NOT match what they have and what you will get)! You buy apples and you get onions! Room was suppose to have a washer and dryer, extra bathroom, desk, and comfortable mattresses by sleep number. What you get is either a room with one bathroom (with toliet inside master bedroom), broken tables, no desk, and a sealy bed with a mattress and foam on top, or you can get another bedroom with a single mattres sealy bed (no foam), no washer and dryer, no ocean view, no desk, but with an extra bathroom! Both rooms were dirty and had to be cleaned before I got into them! No wired internet avaliable in room (that was a big lie). wireless internet connection is very SLOW and keeps dropping and no one will do anything about it!

“Can't wait to go back”

Great beach for swimming and activities. Close to restaurants and stores. The people are very kind and courteous. Lots of timeshare pressure, but easy to walk away if you don't want activities and a free meal in exchange for your time.

Area recommendations
I enjoyed staying at Cabo Villas at Medano Beach. There were plenty restaurants and a live music and show at night. Also, Puerto Paraiso Mall was a short walk away by the marina.

“Loved it, would go back in a heartbeat”

The room was beautiful, spacious and right on the beach. Our room was the 2 bedroom executive suite in the newest tower the bayview suites. I had 3 people with me and the 4 of us had plenty of room. The bathroom in the master bedroom was huge and so pretty, we also had a jacuzzi tub on the balcony and a wet bar next to the table and chairs. It was equipped with a full kitchen, dining room table, living room and even had a washer and dryer. The hotel was so convenient and such a good deal. My only complaint would be that they turned the jacuzzi tub off at 6pm for all the suites, so we were not able to use it at night after going out to relax but that is minor. All in all an amazing hotel and would recommend.

Area recommendations
medano beach is awesome, lots of fun bars and water activities available. It is also the only swimmable beach in cabo with its calm and beautiful water. You can also take glass bottom water taxis to lovers beach from here and see the famous arch.
When to go
july-sep it is low season so the price is significantly cheaper, less people, during summer and the water temperature is perfect. we go in late july and enjoy it very much.
Getting around
stay on medano beach and you will be near everything. downtown, restaurants, activities and more can usually be reached by walking very convenient.
Dining
for italian- la dolce so amazing! seafood, steak- pocho's mexican- mi casa breakfast- mama's sushi- nick san's

“Not the place to sleep”

My husband and I enjoyed that we were so close to the marina & downtown. Location was great. The regular booked room is not the greatest so we put up with a timeshare presentation to get an upgrade. We are not timeshare fans so it was not our favorite part of the trip. The vendors are very pushy so laying out on the beach can be disturbing not to mention the every other night of late night karoke. We did not get much rest due to that fact of nightly late entertainment. We really loved staying at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica as we got the true feel of a first class resort. Cabo Villas just had the high prices.

“Almost perfect”

Cabo Villas is a perfectly located hotel on one of the best stretches of the beach. I will be going again for sure. My only change for my next visit is to request a tower with better water pressure!

“Great hotel and excellent location”

I have stayed at Cabo Villas a few times and each time they seem to find ways to improve. Cabo Villas is a resort that feels like you own place during your stay. The location to the beach can not be beat! You will be located close enough to walk to everything in 10 minutes if you cut through the Marina (enter by Marina Fiesta Hotel). If you prefer to cab it, the cab stand is right at the rear of the resort. The Cabo Villas on-site beach food (Cabo Cantina) has great food for the price and with restaurants like Ediths right next door, you do not even need to go to town, if you prefer a relaxing evening. The staff is very accommodating and always willing to help. The room was neat and clean. I did find some small bumps in the road, but they were immediately corrected. A incorrect charge was found at check-out, I knew cash had been paid, and after checking there resort records they credited me the amount and apologized. The only other complaint I could find was the check-in process. When you first arrive at a vacation destination you do not want to haggle with time share people, especially when your only gonna be there a short time. I will say that after explaining this to them firmly they immediately proceeded to check me in. If your looking to relax in comfort but still want to have easy access to all the action for a reasonable price, I would highly recommend Cabo Villas Beach Resort and Spa.

Area recommendations
The beach area directly in front of Cabo Villas, Lands End, and the town of Cabo San Lucas. If you have an extended amount of time check out San Jose or a great day trip is Todos Santos! A relaxing day on the beach is a day trip to Cerritos Beach. Arrangments can be made for a free shuttle to take you to this beach.
When to go
Any time of year Cabo is beautiful, but avoid March/April if you are looking to relax, Cabo is very accommodating to spring breakers. I have found December, February, and last week of April and all of May is great.
Nightlife
Great nightlife scene in Cabo. Cabo Wabo Cantina is a great place to start and finish and evening, the restaurant is extremely underated, if you go you will not be disappointed with the food or the great service. Nick-San is a great, if not the best place for sushi. If you walk around town and do a small pub crawl you will find many great places that you will look forward to returning to.

“Very good location, hotel rooms nice...”

The location was perfect! Right where all the beach action is. Unfortunately had to do a timeshare presentation to avoid being on the first floor. I recommend asking to be on the 4th floor or above. After doing timeshare presentation though, no hassel after that, got upgraded room and two free activities (ATV's and snorkel). Had a very lovely time. One thing that was a little annoying was that the hotel staff did not have change. Had to wait around to get $1 back. Did not enjoy the Baja Brewing food too much, although their beer was delish! I also got engaged on this trip in our hotel room which was very nice and gorgeous view! I would stay here again, as long as it's a high floor!

“Vastly exceeded my expectations.”

Aside from the limited selection of tv channels (No CNN) the room and facilities were clean, stylish and comfortable. ESPECIALLY considering the price. It was a great value and there were really no issues at all. Especially the kind that people tend to expect (rightly or wrongly) when they travel to Mexico. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Dining
Edith's and The Office (on the beach) Edith's was very expensive but excellent. Everything was great and the Caesar salad that they prepared at the table was literally the best I've ever had. The office's food was more modest but very good. Especially for a place where you eat on the sand. Same owners so not surprising.

“Mixed results, but mostly good”

I was so-so on the room, because although it was very cute and I loved the kitchen, it was in the worst part of the hotel, we needed earplugs because we were near the HVAC, and the keys kept getting demagnatized. Cleaning seemed spotty even though we were leaving tips. Both the bed and the pull-out couch were surprisingly comfortable. The location is great. The hotel is right in the heart of the beach, and very close to the marina. I recommend using the hotel's beach area instead of the restaurant beach chairs. You can use the comfy hotel beach chairs without being expected to spend money all day, and they rope it off from the annoying beach vendors. Altogether it was a pretty good value for the money. Next time I'd probably try the Bahia -- their new remodeled look was really cool. But Cabo Villas was also a good experience.
