“Old school”
The hotel rooms were small and had old style decorations, kind of what you might expect at your grandmas house. There were plates and other strange things hanging in the room and it felt very old fashioned. The walls were paper thin, and I could actually hear a person uriniting in the room next to mine. The service was GREAT however. The staff was extremely nice and willing to do whatever it took to make us happy. The location was also decent. I would recommend this hotel if you like old style decorations or great service.
“Great spot to see LA from”
I stayed there originally on business and then was joined by my family. The room was very pleasant and generally well furnished. The food was very good as well as the bar. The only issue was the party in the room next door between 3 and 5 am! We ended up changing rooms.
“Wonderful wonderful room and service!”
This hotel was really beautiful. The staff were really friendly and always there to answer any questions and help us out. We were always greeted at the door and welcomed back to the hotel. Not to mention the beds were extremely comfortable. It really made our stay in Santa Monica one to remember!
“Just fantastic!”
Great location, short stroll to the beach, close to shops and restaurants! Amazing decor and service was fantastic! Great on premises bar and restaurant and swimming pool. Would come back in a heartbeat.
“Viceroy Santa Monica - A great place to stay”
This boutique hotel was clean and comfortable with great staff who couldn't be more friendly and helpful. Starting with a champagne on arrival from reception, the whole experience was a delight. From restaurant staff to the extremely helpful Guest Services staff, nothing was too much trouble.
“Santa Monica's One of the Best”
It's a great Hotel, with an Excellent Restaurant. Beside the great food, The Romantic environment and atmosphere makes the food taste even better. Hotel staff is Friendly and courteous This is a place I would love to go back for Business and Pleasure
“Very $$$$ for what you get”
Staff were friendly but I found it to expensive for what we got. Also I have a dodgy back and the bed was a killer.
“Beautiful Hotel”
Hotel was beautifully appointed. Location was fantastic, one block from the best part of the beach. The decor was modern. Every part of the hotel was extremely clean and the staff was very accomodating.Only negative was that it was missing a coffee machine in the room.
“Love the hotel and door staff... Staff service extremely slow and horrible!”
This hotel was beautiful and convenient to stores, eats and the beach. Door staff was extremely helpful with directions... we went to them instead of the concierge(with the attitude)must be waiting for her big break in Cali! If you asked for directions they go to their file and hand you a map, no words?!?! One dismissed me and started to talk to her co-worker and I was still there. The pool was always packed with no where to sit. Both times we had to flag someone down to request drinks and they seem to drawn to a certain section...hmmmm?$?$ We waited 25 minutes to order drink and had to go and order inside and was told to go outside to order. The next day after waiting 20 minutesto order, we ordered a bottle of wine, brought out in a ice bucket and was told to give it 10 minutes after waiting 35 minutes for him to bring it! IT WAS A WARM BOTTLE OF Pino Grigio!! We were shocked and very disatisfied.
“great place for a happy hour”
shouldn't charge for internet connection nowdays
