“Good Hotel”
I stayed at the hotel because of a conference given there. The room and serve was very nice. The hotel grill had good food and there were great places to eat close by. Each morning at our conference we had a continental breakfast. They served so wonderful muffin, fruit and bagels. Everyone that work there was very friendly and polite!!!!
“Westin used to impress”
Not allowed to use the mini-fridge for personal use without paying a $25 restocking fee (even if you used nothing). No microwave. No hairdryer. Tried to get a drink of water at 6a.m. and both taps were only running very hot water. Sink was cracked. Ice bucket the size of a thimble so had to resort to the wastebasket, which was filthy. Took over an hour to connect to the in-house Internet. Pillows were huge and uncomfortable, and there were no contour pillows to be had. Bathroom floor may have been cleaned some time in the past... Very over-priced restaurant with hard, old, tiny danish and cold and miserable toast. On the good side, the staff was very pleasant.
“went for business”
Location, service, hotel itself was great, I would return. About 20 minutes from Long Beach airport.
“Great downtown location”
Stayed here overnight after a party. Wonderful check in and received an upgraded room without asking! Good central downtown location, close to aquarium and performing arts center. Secure parking under the building with easy access to the hotel. Would stay here again when we are in town. Also dog friendly!
“Very impressed by overall service”
Excellent hotel
“Close to wonderful”
pitching as a sleek experience, but water damage in the hallway, 4-5 months worth of dust on a bathroom vent, and a grubby elevator from the parking area nix that. I hate paying $17 for parking. Staff helpful & friendly (if not charming).
“Great Hotel across from the Convention Center!”
I stayed at this hotel with a group of people attending a conference at the convention center over the weekend. We had multiple people per room, and there was plenty of room. The room seemed to be very clean and well maintained. My biggest complaint - parking. The parking is $ 17.00 per day for self park and $ 20.00 per day for valet. No hotel in the area charged this much. I think it was terrible, personally. When I booked the room, expedia noted we would receive a special gift upon arrival. When I asked about the gift, they said that they do not usually give anything. The front desk called Expedia after I left and delievered a large basket of fruit to each one of my rooms. It was pretty impressive - strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, kiwi, banana, apples etc. They exceeded my expectations!
“First Long Beach Stay”
The hotel staff was very friendly, the room was nice although the tub was not as clean as I prefer. The metal handle was very spotty & the shower head did not work great. The air conditioner could have worked better. Even at 3am my room was not cool. The food & staff at The Grill was wonderful.
“Can't wait to go back”
We had a great time. It was all we hoped it would be and more. We'll most definately be staying at the Westin again.
“Great hotel for a great price!”
Downtown Long Beach is a great place to spend the weekend, and the Westin is in the perfect location. Close to everything you need! Great bang for your buck, have stayed there before and will definitely be back again.
