Good Location

Pros: very good location; decent price
Cons: make sure the ac is working
Location: good location
The only problem was the air conditioner did not work so the room was a bit warm.

Nice location but impolite staff

Posted 26-May-2015
Pros: Location and free parking
Cons: Staff can be more welcoming, courteous and helpful
Location: You can either take a walk to hollywood walk of fame or take a bus or Metro which will get you there in no time.
We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and the only good thing about it was its location as it was close to number of attractions. Apart from that there was nothing impressive about the hotel considering the price we paid. To start with the receptionist was not courteous or welcoming at all. As we went in to check in she didn't welcome us and simply asked for credit card and ID. The room was clean and in reasonable condition with all the facilities. There were no glass windows and every morning you could hear the noise coming from outside which was quite disturbing.

Cool classic

A surprising hidden gem. This is not your father's Hilton. But if you want an eclectic, retro hotel in Hollywood, this may be it. Straight out of a 1950's movie, thus motel shows the love that the two sisters have for their late sister, Dixie. Surprisingly tidy, we enjoyed our stay.

I wonder how this hotel got 3 star rating. The bed was uncomfortable, i guess it's due to old spring bed.

Many plusses

Good location near the Red Llne Metro. Quiet. Relatively inexpensive. Bathroom a bit shabby. Pool is in parking lot. Nothing luxurious, but a good experience.

First Impressions: Check In

Posted 11-May-2015
My overall stay was great. The room was clean and smelled amazing. The beds were comfortable. Towels looked a little dingy, but not horrible. My check in experience was the pits. The lady who checked us in made it seem like we were a bother. Didn't explain any amenities, told us our room number, but did not point us in the direction. Then charged the deposit on one card and the entire stay on another card. This could have thrown off the whole experience had we allowed it to.

Noisy place...Very creaky floors

Posted 10-May-2015
Could not sleep much due to foot traffic outside my hotel room and creaky floorboard in the room above mine. My hotel room was located on the first floor and I can hear everyone walking by and doors slamming. The worst part was the creaky floors, not only in my room, but the room upstairs. I was woken up at 6am because of the people walking around in the hotel room right above me. I can't stop them from walking around their room, but I was expecting better quality floorboards/ room from this hotel so I wouldn't hear them. One good thing... They renovated their bathroom so it looks nice. Everything else is average 3star hotel quality.

This hotel is overpriced.

Posted 03-May-2015
The hotel rooms are spacious enough; we had two queen beds for 3 people. The photos of the rooms shown on the website make the rooms appear more modern than they actually are. My major complaints? There was no full size ironing board, so you had to place the mini ironing board on the bed to use it. The hair dryer looked as though it had not been cleaned, and my biggest complaint is that the beds were uncomfortable. All these things might be acceptable if the hotel was priced in the $60 to $70 dollar range, but with taxes I paid $147. Way too much!!!
