“good”
I like the brand.
“Great Location! Great Hotel! Great Service!”
I was attending a conference in Pasadena and this hotel was right next to the Convention Center - very convenient. The staff were EXTREMELY polite, professional and attentive. Even though the hotel seems to be an older building and may not look so glamorous on the exterior, it was really comfortable, clean and very nice inside. The beds and bedding were superb. Starbucks coffee in the room. Room service was outstanding. Our pre-ordered breakfast arrived on time every mornings with the eggs cooked exactly like we asked for. Hotel also close to old town - within walking distance but they also have a free shuttle within a 3 mile radius. Driver named Bruce treated us like royalty. Would stay here again without a doubt!
“Bar Exam Week -- Internet sucks”
I booked this hotel so that I can take the bar. Good: It is very close to the convention center. I can literally walk down to the enterance in less than 5 minutes. Bad: The wouldn't give me a late checkout and were very rude about it! Ugly: The internet was free, but terrible. I really wish they had a paid option because Examsoft would take 30+ minutes to finish after countless lost connections and errors. At one point my friend tethered his phone and we uploaded that way.
“not that good”
better price hotel in the smae area
“Enjoyable stay”
My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights over the July 4th weekend. Overall we were very satisfied. The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly. We had the breakfast buffet two mornings and it was very good. Two slight negatives; our room was on the top (5th floor) and there was intermittent roof noise (probably from A/C units) during the nights which was disruptive...and the other negative was that although they list CNBC as an available tv channel on the room guide, that channel is not actually available. But, overall a pleasant stay at a good rate and we will be back.
“Nah, you can do better. Only benefit is attachment to Conv Ctr.”
Checked in and though we booked our room on Expedia as a club level room, front desk tried to bait and switch and put us on another level. Lame. If you don't want to sell club level on Expedia, then don't. Got to the 3rd floor and the decor is badly in need of an upgrade. The carpet looks like 1962 puked on it. The bathroom had a lot of amenities but the counterspace is so ridiculous that if you put anything on it, you've got to put the lid of the toilet seat down because something will likely fall in. Terrible placement of a magnifying mirror...why even have this when you have so little counter space? My friend's magnifying mirror in her room was actually over the toilet! The bed was hard but the bedding and pillows were excellent. Otherwise, room was spacious and layout was good, but weird furniture. Two tiny chairs with pull-out ottomans that look like they're for smurf royalty. Couldn't seem to get my A/C temp lower than 70 degrees, not sure why. Badly, badly in need of upgrades. Oh, and when we checked out, even though my friend did not get housekeeping the night before but just forgot to hang out her "green" card on the door, the front desk wouldn't give her the 500 starpoints.
“Clean, Excellent Location”
This hotel is very close to several shopping centers. It was comfortable and clean.
“Not impressed”
We got charged extra 50.00$........to the card??? I'm questioning to the hotel at the moment..
“STINGY”
no microwave (anywhere in the hotel), no free wifi, amenities were minimal. they tell you that you cannot park on the street citywide from 2am to 6am, so naturally we paid the $13 per night for their parking. found out the next day that its only the 4 blocks surrounding the hotel that have an added "no parking 2am to 6am citywide" sticker, theres tons of free street parking around. while it was clean and the bed was comfortable, totally NOT worth the splurge. holiday inn would have been just as clean and probably less stingy.
“Fun Old Town Weekend!”
Stayed here because they offered a really cheap last min. deal! Was going to stay at the Westin but basically the same location to Colorado and shops/restaurants! Nice staff! Bruce drove us to dinner and picked us up when we were ready as well as giving us wonderful recommendations on wine bars and other places to go! Great dinner at Cafe Santorini (couldn't have walked in heels but glad shuttle took us) and then went to RedWine and Blues! Cute place with live jazz! Love Old Town! Clean pretty hotel! LOOKS TOTALLY OLD ON THE OUTSIDE BUT REALLY NICE ON THE INSIDE! NICE STAFF TOO!
