Good Hotel Downtown L.A.

One night stay in April, 2014. Late arrival and was helped by friendly courteous staff who also provided needed directions to other locations to be visited the following day. Very clean, comfortable and quiet room. Very competitive room rate and excellent overall experience.

Hotel in downtown LA

Pros: Proximity to our event.
Cons: Beds could be more comfortable.
Location: Downtown LA, and I'm not familiar enough with LA to tell you what there is to do near there.
Beware of the parking fees, $28 with no in & out privileges. Parking across the street was $5 but check on their closing times. We felt there were some odd areas of the hotel, it seemed to connect up with a mall with Macy's and said they had restaurants but we never found them. The only restaurant open in the hotel was a sports bar, their regular bistro was closed. Beds were not so comfy but passable. Front desk staff was very nice helping us with directions and a map to our destination.

mandatory valet parking and quality

I didn't really care for the mandatory valet parking although it probably is the safest for being right downtown. One of the beds was broken. I received and updated folio with a $2.99 charge for a movie which I did not watch, so I called and left a detailed message regarding the questioning of my bill. I received a call back the following day from the manager asking me to call if I had any issues, and my question was never answered. On the positive side, the staff was very friendly.

Air condition did not work. Restroom had signs of mold. Not a 4 star condition at all. Lobby far exceeds room quality.

Nice Hotel

Pros: Room was clean and bed was comfortable
Cons: Parking and internet prices
Nice hotel in a good location. Shame about the exorbitant valet parking $36 a night and the internet $13 per day!! In the hotels defence you can access internet free of charge in the ground floor but it's a pain that you have to pay such a high price to have access in the rooms. Parking can be found within a block or 2 for less than half the price!! Ridiculous when you consider you are paying for a room and they want to charge such high valet parking.

However, such a location is a double-edged sword and thus imposes parking limitations on the area. However the room itself is outdated and no fridge in the room, hotel is clean along with the room however the room is over priced.

Pros: Close to everything
Location: Staple stadium, Olivera Street,garment district
The hotel was downtown so it was close to everything we needed to go to.
