“TV did not work.”

For a place to stay for just 1 night, the place was good enough for us. Even if it was for more than 1 night, we still would have stayed here. Except for the TV that will not turn on, the bedroom, bathroom, and little kitchen were clean. It is near freeway I-10, which is convenient for us for going back to the San Francisco Bay Area. The free continental breakfast did not have all the goodies shown in their brochure but was good enough to start our travel back home. Would come back to this hotel, but will call the hotel directly next time (and not book through Expedia). The hotel personnel said they could give us a better rate if we call them directly.

“Perfectly good if a little far from the action”

This Travelodge is a fair old distance from the Main Street and oceanfront area, though there is a bus service and to be fair Google maps do show how far it is. We walked to and back from downtown and encountered no problems after dark. The accommodation could not be faulted and the front of house staff are extremely helpful, offering advice on where to find food etc and letting me print off boarding passes in their computer room without charge. I would book again but I would prefer to look for accommodation nearer the front.

the location is very misleading...it looked much shadier than i had hoped but we were only there for one night. Its a nice enough drive down to Santa Monica Pier...i think worth it for the price because all the hotels by the pier were twice the price. Other than i think it was pee smell i noticed at night in a corner (probably some kid had an accident), the room was very comfortable. cute little eat-in 'kitchen' area. gated hotel. complimentary breakfast not bad, but space very cramped. not a bad place :)

“Connveniently located”

We stayed two nights and were satisfied with the hotel overall. We reserved the courtyard rooms which felt very safe being totally gated. The rooms were traditional but clean. Staff was helpful. Breakfast was included but definately try the Lazy Daisy breakfast on Pico and 23rd! Hotel is about 5min from Pier! 10 minutes from Hollywood Blvd, Rodeo Drive, and Beverly Hills! Would stay again.

A bit far from the beach but the price is reasonable and the room was clean. Staff was friendly.
