“Will Return”
I had to go to LA for business and found the this hotel was closer to my appointments than staying in LA. The hotel was just terrific and the morning sunrise and evening sun sets were spectacular. I was also within walking distance of Long Beach resturante areas and the ship Queen Mary. The staff was very helpfull and friendly. The room was more than expected in living space. When I return to California on business, I will book this hotel again.
“More Pros than Cons!!!”
Pros: complimentary breakfast with waffle maker, kitchenette in room, comfort of lobby area, courtesy staff Cons: parking is not free, bed was not very comfortable
“Great Amenities”
We stayed 6 nights and loved it! The room was great - little kitchenette, great work station, really comfy bed. Large flat screen that tilts out. In the evenings, thay have something special going on in the lobby. One night we came back & watched a play-off baseball game in the lobby w/ complimentary cheese, crackers, & wine. Another night we came back after a loooong day & were treated to hamburgers, hot dogs, salad, & chips - and beer & wine or pop. All complimentary! Due to construction, the roads are a mess right near the hotel (until Feb 2012). We had to go all the way down to the Queen Mary, get a parking pass, then exit & explain to the attendant that we are trying to get to the Marriott - not really a big deal, tho. Definitely recommend this hotel.
“Great stay.”
Loved everthing about our stay. Only stayed one night, and wasn't familiar with how far the walk is to stuff. Fared on the safe side and drove, because I have a little one. Otherwise, nice, peaceful, just what we expected. Thanks.
“Would definitely go back”
The room was clean and comfortable, the staff pleasant and helpful. Great breakfast every morning. Great view of downtown Long Beach across the harbor. I stayed here 5 nights with my two teenage sons and have no complaints. For the price, it was a very nice place to stay.
“Great Race Location for us”
We attended the ski race fr LB to Catalina and back and knew the hotel would be packed. The hotel staff was outstanding and treated everyone in the race that same way also. It was close to the race, close to the free shuttle and close driving distance to a ton of resturants and shopping. Great having free breakfast. We're looking forward to next year.
“Great place out on the pier...”
Had a great time. Big comfy rooms, friendly staff, solid breakfast. They let us use the outside patio late night for some cigars and visiting--super awesome.
“Affordable on the Water”
One of two hotels on the same side of the port as the Queen Mary. Would be a great place to stay the night before embarking on a cruise. For me it was just a great place to stay where I could walk along the water. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable with all the amenities one would expect. I would stay here again when in Long Beach.
“Perfect location to hop on the free bus next door at the Maya Hotel to go all around Long Beach.”
We have been to Long Beach in the past and stayed downtown at the Rennaisance Hotel (Pine /Ocean Blvd) but now that we have experienced the Residence Inn at Marriott Long Beach we will be returning there. The view was great, the hot breakfast daily had wonderful selections and free. The hotel staff were very knowledgeable and we took the Tour of Hollywood/L.A. from Sunseeker Tours and it was the best ever!. My husband and I are now experts in riding the Red Passport buses all around Long Beach. We look forward for another return trip in the future and do it all over again.
“Great find!”
Probably one of the best places to stay at for a good value if you are visiting Long Beach. The included full breakfast was superb and the staff is very friendly. Very easy to get to downtown Long Beach and can definitely walk to the Queen Mary. The bed was a little firmer than some other hotel beds so will be great for those who like firmer mattresses. Regardless, still comfortable.
