“Just an airport hotel - no more, no less”

Stayed one night. This is basically an airport hotel - nothing fancy. Basic accommodation for a night in a convenient location close to the airport. Internet access was not free and did work properly.

“Convenient to airport”

The hotel shuttle was prompt and the driver most helpful with the luggage. The service was very good and the food quite good...particularly the buffet breakfast...many hotels in same proximity...easy to walk to them...felt safe in the area. Will stay here next year as we pass through. Quite satsidfied as a stoppover hotel.

“Great! Park on the street, though.”

Everything about the hotel was great. But the parking fee is $25, so just park on the street! Just look out for street cleaning signs and you're golden.

“Very close to airport”

Good if you want to be close to airport(approx 10 min away) otherwise not much happening around this hotel. There is a Burger King across the road and a Starbucks a couple of doors down inside the Marriot hotel. There is a local bus that comes every 15 minutes across the road and you can buy tickets from concierge for the trolley which takes you to Manhatten Beach which is only about 20 minutes away, which is a really nice area with nice beach and a shopping village that includes Macy's department store.

Area recommendations

We also stayed in Beverly Hills, which was a much better area to stay in as close to lots of tourist attractions and easy to get on hop on, hop off bus which is fantastic for seeing most of the city without the hassle of driving yourself. Would highly recommend this bus for first timers to LA, you can get off where you want at any point and look around as long as you want at each place and bus comes frequently.

Must see

Madame Tussauds wax museum in Hollywood, takes about 45 minutes to an hour to look around and is great fun for everyone. You can take photos with the wax figures and some of them are very real looking.

Outdoors or beach

Santa Monica beach and pier has lots to look at and lots of food options and rides, good for all ages.

“renaissance los Angeles”

Nice place with friendly service. Wifi was not free though. The room i viewed online was not the the one they put me in and there reason was that the names are similar online, which didn't male sense to me.

Area recommendations

Downtown LA. The airport hotels are convenient but there is nothing around them.

“not impressed=((((”

The hotel stay was not good because: - windows were screwed/ and could be opened, - Restaurant breakfast was given to us 5 min/ and before we consumed any part of the meals, - the overall early morning breakfast service was not friendly.

Area recommendations

Manhattan Beach, Long Beach, and Irvine. People are welcoming & friendly.

“A solid 3 for a hotel, a 4 for airport area.”

Very good location for a layover for connecting flight. Shuttle prompy and driver most helpful. Helpful staff with bags and info. Great breakfast! Problem with room resolved very quickly and to my satisfaction.
