“Hollywood Fun”
The beds and pillows could have been a little more comfortable for the price. The staff greeted us with a smile and friendliness.
“Hollywood and Business- a good combination!”
I was in LA for a conference this past weekend which was held at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel and Spa. I would have to say that the staff is one of the best teams I've experienced in all of my work-related trips. Everyone, from the front desk representatives to the operators to the event staff, was happy, knowledgeable, and efficient. Everyone was eager to help and had the answers I needed. The room was also comfortable and very clean, and the bathroom amenities were just right. The location, right next to the Hollywood and Highland Center, and so very close to Grauman's Chinese Theatre and the Walk of Fame, was great for a quick sight-see while I was in town. :) Overall, I had a very nice stay.
“will do it again”
the hotel is very good one and in a very nice place.
“Not impressed, very poor hotel service, don't stay here”
We stayed at this hotel for four nights as part of our honeymoon. The hotel is nice and modern and in a good location especially if you have a hire car to get out and about. Don't use the hotel valet parking though, it is $29 per 24hrs, there is a shopping complex attached to the hotel with a huge car park which is $10 per 24hrs (but the hotel did tell us about that). We found the hotel and staff very corporate and quite impersonal. We had stayed at three other hotels leading up to this one and they were all fantastic. The hotel state they offer a complimentary business center which is all singing and dancing. Be warned when they say complimentary they just mean your door key gets you in the room, you then have to pay for internet access etc. We used the internet for 7mins whilst in there and we were charged $199 by the system. The hotel staff were absolutely appalling in relation to customer service in resolving this issue, unfortunately this caused us to spend some time every day trying to resolve it instead of enjoying LA. We also found the concierge really poor. I would never ever stay at this hotel again purely based on the appalling customer service, such a shame it was the last stop of our honeymoon.
“Great”
Great hotel! It was quiet and in a great location!
“Hollywood Renaissance Hotel”
Stayed here with the family passed July 4th weekend. Parking is $10 per day in multi-story car park next to hotel. Pros The hotel has great view of Hollywood sign and the hills. The room is very large, the beds although Great location - walking distance to Madam Tussauds, Starlite tours, Hollywood Museum and walk of fame. Near fast food restaurants like Subway, Baja Fresh, McDonalds and Starbucks. Also has a nice rooftop large swiimming pool and fitness center. Elevators are fast and corridors are nice and bright. Hotel service was friendly and courteous. Cons Queen beds are a little on the small side compared to other hotel beds I have slept on. Room walls are also a little on thin side I could hear my loud neighbors one night. WiFi Internet is not complementary, $12.95 for one day Overall Worth staying for the location and if you don't have noisy neighbors or call front desk to be moved (I should have done that).
“Recommended”
As a second-time LA visitor travelling with a first-timer, the location of this hotel is ideal - just off Hollywood Blvd. The drawback? Driving to and from the hotel can be intimidating in traffic. On lower floors, noise at night might be an issue. But I haven't got a single complaint or concern about any part of our stay other than one night of the four when my travelling companion needed assistance with wireless access but I doubt it was in-house staff we were dealing with. Clean, comfortable, impeccable service, every question we had answered - down to great directions to several lesser-known addresses. We ate only one breakfast in the restaurant and didn't try to pool so I can't speak to amenities but they looked promising... Well, next time!
“LOVE THE RENAISSANCE HOLLYWOOD!!!”
This was our third stay at the Renaissance Hollywood. We would not stay anywhere else. Staff, rooms, cleanliness, service, location wonderful!!!!!! Can't wait to go back.
“Beautiful Hotel”
Great hotel overall. Beautifully decorated, fantastic location and friendly staff. The only thing I thought it was lacking was an alarm clock/ipod dock in the room. There actually was no clock at all.
“fabulous renaissance”
From the moment you arrive you are greeted by a very friendly staff. Rooms are extremely comfortable and hotel housekeeping could not be more accomodating. The location to everything is Perfect!!!!! The pool is lovely and the water temperature is extremely comfortable. Walk through pool area and right to a mall!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is visiting Hollywood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
